Trovo is a fancy little pizza place nowhere to sit and eat, that serves up some amazing thin crust pizza. The advantage of the thin crust is that it becomes very crispy as it bakes. Sauce and cheese were very flavorful and we quite enjoyed the lunch. We got the lunch special which I think was two slices and a Coke for a little over $7. Pizza was great, but it seemed like the lady at the counter was bugged that we came in. Service could have been a bit better.
Heads up: there's no seating, only to-go orders. Great lunch special: 2 plain slice and soda for $7. Extremely thin crust that's always burnt, but some folks like that. It still has a nice chew to it instead of being too crispy that it just breaks. The plain slice is really solid with a nice sauce and cheese. The toppings are a bit hit or miss, and are added on top of the cheese without really being incorporated. I prefer the Vezzo, but it's great having a super thin crust option on this side of Manhattan.
Great place. Strictly take out. Staple pizza slices but you can just add toppings. First slice I did pepperoni - didn’t see the extras list. Went back a few hours later and did pepperoni with extra jalapeños. $6 a slice. Both excellent. Crispy base, cheese good, crunchy delicious and pizza at its best.
Highly recommended thin crust pizza. Happened upon this pizza spot that's sort of hidden next to chipotle. Good looking menu and they do slices to order, where cheese is $3 and adding toppings ranges from $0.50 to $1. Lady up front was very nice. Gave them a try and got three different slices: Cheese Pepperoni Beef meatball Good size slices. Perfectly crispy yet soft thin crust pizza. Good sauce. The meatball slice was crazy good. I prefer smaller pepperoni or the roni cups. Def will be back to try some other options.
Nice thin crust pizza, about $6 a slice. Lots of flavors available. Carry out location no dine in. Slices were big—almost 1/4 pizza each.
I can say without a doubt that this is the worst pizza money can buy in New York City. We ordered Meat Lover’s, Pepperoni, Salsiccia Dolce, and Pepperoni slices. It is clear that they just threw toppings onto pre-cooked plain slices. The pizza itself tastes like a below average cafeteria pizza you’d eat as a child. At over 35 dollars for 6 slices, it is absurdly overpriced.
If you're hosting a business catered lunch in Midtown, don't waste your time or money here. The in-house delivery service ignores instructions. Worse yet their staff is completely apathetic and will not acknowledge or take responsibility for an issue. Lastly, any problem remains unresolved as apparently "there are no managers". Wholly dissatisfied – this location needs to devote more attention and care towards ensuring a positive customer experience.
Trovo NYC Thin Crust Pizza is a newcomer in Midtown East, known for its impossibly thin crust and high-quality ingredients.
Super thin and crispy. Cheese was melty goodness. Not too much marinara sauce. Kiddos crushed most of the pizza before I could get to it.
My family stayed at a nearby hotel and we ordered from here twice. It really hit the spot at the end of a long day hiking NYC.Food: 5/5
