I was just there for the 1st time: it's a GREAT little place! I went for lunch and sat at the bar. I had the cream of crab soup and couldn't stop raving about it. Then I had the crab cake sandwich with Old Bay mustard sauce and it comes with a side salad. The crab cake was phenomenal, served on a great bun w/ lettuce and tomato; the salad was like you would order on it's own: lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, delicious red onion...lots of good stuff! I only had iced tea, but it looks like the owner keeps a VERY interesting menu of different beers and wines... like Blood Orange IPA! Doesn't that sound good! I'll definitely go back for happy hour to try some of their other menu items along with 1 of those!

Being from Maryland myself, I consider myself somewhat of an expert in everything OLD BAY... Took the wife and kids and we all enjoyed.. Started with Cream of crab for the wife and the vegetable crab for myself... We both were impressed. Shrimp was also on point! My daughters do not like seafood, so we got them the chicken, which they also approved. Outside decor could be improved, as well as inside ventilation. Overall wonderful experience and will be back!

Truly a hidden treasure, True Boca Raton is a charming, cozy and intimate restaurant which offers the best Maryland-style crab cakes in south Florida! I often visit friends in the Palm Beaches, but this was the first time that I took the opportunity to dine at True. It was great to see True's owner chef Frank Hawkins after more two decades! Jim and I were not disappointed with the exceptional service and delectable FRESH HOMEMADE menu items! We began our leisurely dinner with 'Steven Shrimp' which consists of five large shrimp steamed in beer and Old Bay seasoning. We both had the ‘True Blue Platter’ which included two large authentic Maryland-style crab cakes with succulent lumps of blue crab meat with absolutely NO filler. The al dente Green Beans, slightly steamed with olive oil and garlic, were the best that we’ve ever tasted. The fresh house Garden Salad was crisp with homemade Blue Cheese dressing. The Coleslaw was also outstanding. Frank's wife Sherri made the decadent Pumpkin Cheesecake which was divine! We found the staff to be very friendly, prompt, attentive and accommodating. Frank and Sherri take great pride in their home-style cooking and they enjoy mingling with their guests. True's charming atmosphere is very low key and casual and the food is "to die for"! The menu is limited because all of the dishes are fresh and homemade on site. True offers an eclectic assortment of carefully selected local craft beers and affordable wines. If you're looking for a nice quiet restaurant with deliciously fresh home cooking, this is definitely the best place to dine for lunch or dinner. Truly an incredible five star find!! True Boca Raton opened in November 2013, and is located next to Royal Palm Place in Downtown Boca. True offers free parking in the garage (white spaces on level three) across the street. The restaurant also delivers locally. We highly recommend True Boca Raton to our friends in Palm Beach and Broward Counties! ☆☆☆☆☆
