Helpful and happy employee's. Prices were double than I have paid for at another place but the other place never has things stocked or ordered. True Value will always order an item and not charge you shipping like TS does. I know I can go there and trust their service.

In a hurry, asked for unique part, floor help didn't know, but in 2 min found experienced floor person who took me right to it.

A bad employee can make for a bad customer experience and prompt said customer to walk out the door, not to return for a long time. Such was today. I was looking at chainsaws, doing some thinking and reviewing, and happened to overhear part of a conversation from the customer service desk. Specifically, a line, which I shall quote as well as I can, "What kind of idiot spends $400 on a chainsaw to cut firewood?" I looked up in time to see who was speaking, and caught the speaker do a scornful head-toss as he finished. The CS desk is halfway across the store. I have some significant hearing loss. I still heard him loudly and clearly. There is one long-time employee there, a good employee, who has been respectful and won the store several hundred dollars in sales from me in the past few years. He's the only reason I give two stars instead of merely one. If you DO happen to find yourself darkening their door, look for the older heavier-set man, clean-shaven, with glasses and a ballcap. He's good, and I wish I could remember his name. But if he's not there, or busy, shop elsewhere.
