I have noticed in the past 3 years ( i have been a customer since the branch opened, and longer at other branches) or so a steady decline in the quality of the staff at this branch.

The manager (Josh?  Joel?  Jeff?)seems to be quite pleased with himself, and in the course of a single conversation being asked questions about the new account charges replacing free checking, managed the hat trick of giving me wrong information, being oh-so-politely disrespectful, and basically telling me that if I felt the need to go elsewhere to bank, feel free.

Katie, a teller, was rude to the point of attempting to refuse a deposit into a checking account that I have had for 25 years, and that carries a 5 figure balance.  I realize that a small account like that makes no difference to Trustco, or any other bank, but it is a nice touch not to make the customer aware of how little importance his business has to the bank.  

She ought to learn that there are ways of educating customers about bank policies that do not involve the customer driving away wondering why he continues to bank at Trustco.
