Pete came highly recommended. The people who recommended them are people I trust very much so I had no problem inviting him into my home. My plan was to have him paint a bathroom on the third floor and then depending on how the work was completed we would continue throughout the house with additional rooms. In order to paint the third floor bathroom he quoted me $800-$1000 depending on how long it took. The work did require some patching and our house is old so I was OK with the $200 swing. I left Town for two weeks and my husband supervised the rest of the job. He agreed to let Pete paint our master bedroom and patch the ceiling as well while I was gone. Aside from the ceiling the only thing that needed to be done in the bedroom was paint as all of the woodwork was new and the walls were already primed. For this he charged $4300. Before I even came back my husband gave him a check for $4300 and for $1500 for the bathroom. First of all he left the bathroom unfinished, there was blue tape on the ceiling and I had to call him repeatedly to come and take care of the work. Even after I gave him a list of things that needed to be finished he only completed the task of removing the blue tape from the ceiling and touching it up. The bedroom has orange peel on the back of two of the doors and there's a crack in the ceiling above the bed that was never fixed. The impression that I was given by Pete in person is that he likes to talk a lot, he doesn't honor his quotes, and he doesn't really care to do a meticulous job. I do not recommend him to anyone.
