I went with a friend to unwind after work. We shared empanadas. They were really good! Then he had a salad and I had Chofan with chicken. Their mojitos are also really good! The place is pretty and nice for pictures. What I loved the most was the top notch service. Keep It up!!!Food: 5/5
Came on a Friday night for a birthday dinner with my family and had a great time. The decor and ambiance are incredible. They had a DJ and Live music that night, which added to the good feels. And the service that night was impeccable. Now, the food and drinks were another highlight! We ordered Papa Rellena, Yuca a la Huancaina, and Passion Fruit Ceviche fish only as apps. Can't decide which is my fave between the Papa and Yuca, so delicious! The entrées were also pretty good, and there's a variety if selection. Overall, this was a really enjoyable experience and I can't wait to return. 100% recommend! I hope Tu-Kan maintains its quality and care for customer experience for years to come.
Disappointing Experience at Tu-Kan I recently dined at Tu-Kan and unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations. While the establishment had potential, several aspects of my experience left much to be desired. First and foremost, the food was a letdown. The dishes I ordered lacked the flavor and quality I had anticipated. The taste fell flat, and I found myself disappointed with every bite. It was a missed opportunity to showcase their culinary expertise. Furthermore, the atmosphere at Tu-Kan was far from ideal. The music was played at an excessively loud volume, making it challenging to engage in a conversation with my companion. The noise level hindered the overall dining experience and created a less-than-desirable ambiance. To my surprise, an 18% gratuity was added to the bill without prior notice or explanation. It would have been appreciated if this additional charge had been communicated clearly before we placed our orders. This unexpected expense left a bitter taste in our mouths and was an unwelcome surprise at the end of the meal. Another point of concern was the pricing. Tu-Kan's price point seemed excessively high for the community it serves. The menu's offerings were unaffordable for many, making it difficult to justify returning or recommending the restaurant to others. It's important for an establishment to consider the financial accessibility of its offerings to cater to a wider range of customers. Overall, my experience at Tu-Kan was disappointing. The underwhelming food, excessively loud music, unexpected gratuity charge, and high price point make it unlikely for me to return or recommend this location to others. There is room for improvement in several areas to ensure a more enjoyable dining experience for patrons. The establishment also offers hookah with your dining experience which shouldn’t be the case if you’re attempting to enjoy a meal indoors.
Came for brunch with family. The food was very good and for the value was amazing. $35 for 3 courses and the plates were not skimpy which we really appreciated. The presentation for the drinks were very pleasing but the drink itself was lacking alcohol, I felt like I was drinking juice. The music was VERY loudFood: 5/5
The ambiance is ok. The place is lovely. I had a ceviche, and the fish tasted fishy. After my ceviche experience, I definitely didn't want to venture into trying more food. I am spoiled with the amazing Peruvian food in White Plains and Port Chester so I may be biased. The service was excellent, food and drink were not so great. I expected a lot more. However, nowadays and we pay for lovely pictures on IG LOL
Beautiful restaurant! I truly LOVE the interior design! Very fancy, modern and colorful. We came here for brunch, which I found out on the restaurant’s Instagram page, is on Sundays only, from 2pm. Our waitress was very kind! Food was yummy! A mistake had been made with my dish and the waitress and kitchen corrected it, which I very much appreciated! I initially ordered the Croquetas de Yuca, but was served the Yuca a la Huancaina yuca fries with cheese sauce. I did enjoy the yuca fries very much FYI I’m a vegetarian. My hubby had the Brunch Bowl $22, which was a very generous portion. He enjoyed the bowl very much, I sadly don’t have a photo. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5, because: 1 I was very shocked to find out that my glass of sangria cost a whopping $17. It was a very delicious and generous glass of sangria I have to mention. If you don’t mind spending that amount of money on a glass of sangria, then I absolutely recommend it! 2 also my hubby wasn’t pleased by almost having given a tip twice. The tip was already calculated in the total amount, but the receipt still had the tip section open, so whoever’s not paying attention can end up tipping twice. I do recommend everyone interested to give Tu-Kan a try!
Delicious as usual and service is always top tier. We got the pulpo appetizer, lomo saltado, and passion fruit ceviche. Perfect for a dinner date night!Recommended dishesCeviche
