The Tupper Museum offers a wonderful look at actual merchandise from the first half of the 1900s. In the back portion of the building is an extensive telephone museum. I'd recommend it for anyone wishing to know more about Southern Louisiana. I'd also recommend it to families with school age children.

The store is like stepping back into time. My 5 yo daughter loves things from that era and was enthralled to see it laud out that way. The flour sack fabric still had bright vibrant colors. The small hardware selection was prestine. The shoes and baby clothes are beautiful and really show how far we have come and also how things are the same. The museum worker was amazing. She walked around with us, and told us about everything we asked about. She was the perfect example of Louisiana hospitality. In the back of the store, there is an amazing little telephone museum for kids. It's a great place for the kids to play. There is a kid themed area for them to color or play with puppets. They can get go thru a maze that has telephones from all eras. One my daughter's favorite was the pair of old fasdion telephone booths. We were able to talk to each other from each or own booth. This is a great place to spend a couple of hours if you enjoy history.
