Ralph and Steven strive to go above and beyond for every one of their clients.
“Our clients and their families deserve nothing less than full compensation for the pain and suffering they have endured and we will not settle for anything less.”
“My father and I fight for justice. We battle the insurance companies to get justice for our clients. This means making the insurance companies compensate not only our client to the fullest extent, but in some cases a loved one as well. Depending on the individual case, a client’s damages may include medical bills, past and future lost wages, physical pain and suffering, mental and emotional pain and suffering. Personal attention must be given to each case of every person going through tough times like that. We strive for it, and you should expect nothing less from our team.”
Steven Tureau was born and raised in Ascension Parish. Steven has been around the law his entire life. His father, Ralph Tureau, practiced law in Gonzales until he was elected as a District Court Judge. As a child, Steven spent many hours and days at his father’s law firm. Little did he know, Steven was destined to follow in his father’s footsteps.
Steven graduated from St. Amant High School and went on to receive a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Louisiana State University. While attending LSU, Steven worked as an assistant for Senator Lee “Jody” Amedee, where his duties included reviewing legislation and recommending changes if necessary. Upon graduation from LSU, Steven attended Southern University Law School, where he was elected as Class President.
While enrolled in law school, Steven worked for the Louisiana State Senate, and for the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. As the law clerk for the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, Steven tackled legal arguments relating to Department issues such as searches conducted by field agents, seizure of evidence, traffic stops conducted by Wildlife Agents, and the limitations of Agents entering onto private property. Because Steven possessed the knowledge and understanding of issues faced by Wildlife Enforcement Agents in the field, Steven was asked by the Department’s senior attorney to be a co-instructor for the class of new Wildlife Enforcement Agents in training.
It was during law school, when Steven first began working for the nationally known law firm of Gauthier and Amedee as a research assistant. This employment continued, and he began working full time for the firm after being sworn in as an attorney in 2008.
“They have taught me so much about the practice of law and being in touch with your clients… You have to see your client as a person, and not just another case… Only then can you truly fight for your client and get them justice.”
With more than twenty (20) years of courtroom experience as a Judge, Ralph Tureau joined Steven in December of 2014 and the father and son attorney tag team was born. Ralph’s knowledge of the law and his ability to own the courtroom only comes through years and years of experience.
