Great coffee, great vibe and great service! Chris & Nicole, the owners have created a great atmosphere! They are now opening a jew shop on the same strip with cheese and provisions to compliment the wine.
Hi everyone, my order is the same everywhere - cappuccino, and I was taught that by cappuccino and espresso I can conclude what the staff and attitude to coffee is. hot milk very hot, scorched espresso, and foam that covers half the volume of the drink. in general, the institution is more atmospheric and cute, but the attitude to coffee spoils everything, thank you! development to you!
A beautifully delicious latte. I adore the latte art! The staff were so kind. A little smaller inside than I imagined, but plenty of seating. I just wish they hadn't run out of croissants.
This is the first time I've ordered food from here. I come here 1x month or less. A few others were ahead of me and ordered drinks and breakfast food. It seemed to take a long time for the food to come out for the person who ordered right before me. My latte was made - no problems there. But then I had a 20 minute wait on a simple order of a breakfast sandwich on a croissant. At one point around 15 minutes, I saw the barista grab a croissant and bring it to the back. I don't know if it was for my order, but based on the timing it seems that my food was either forgotten or way delayed. The place was not slammed so I can't imagine the kitchen was under the weeds unless they had big to-go orders. I'll continue to support local businesses, but never again will I order something at Turning Point that I don't see being made right in front of me - yah, know, like a drink or a muffin that's prepped right at the counter. Bummer.
Fantastic little coffee shop and wine bar tucked away in a strip mall. There is space to socially distance while waiting to order and outdoor seating. They have a curated selection of organic wines and beer and also serve coffee, lattes and food. The breakfast sandwiches sound amazing but I opted for the Quinoa, spinach, sweet potato bowl, which also has avocado, chickpeas, red pepper, and cucumber. The Thai peanut dressing really brought this tasty bowl together. All this together with warm, inviting interiors, and friendly and efficient staff make this place a must try!
The coffee is good, the food is okay. I used to really like this place, but in the last year it has noticeably declined. Perhaps there was staff turnover, but I find the quality has slipped and it doesn’t give off the welcoming vibe that it used to.
I moved from NYC to Stamford and what a relief to have an amazing coffee shop so close to me. The barista's are super friendly and sling some great coffee. It always smells so good when I walk in. They roast and sell their own beans as well. Which are also amazing and make a darn good cup of coffee at home. You can also pick up some beers or wine and snacks. The aesthetic is also lovely and comfortable. Can't wait to be able to sit here after the pandemic like the old times! Lastly, they are located in a convenient shopping area. You can pick up breakfast, lunch or bakery treats all in one trip. Thanks for the reliable service and amazing coffee. :
The place had a nice ambience but service was quickly overwhelmed by the number of customers arriving at 11 am. It's an interesting combination of wine + coffee place. Parking: Ample parking.
World needs to know that this little heaven in Stamford CT has the best organic coffee! They brew a fresh cup for me for only $3.57 and I am so happy and grateful for their service. They also have a daily coffee card where you can get every 7th coffee free! So if you live in Stamford CT and like to buy coffee every day then please try their coffee and you will not regret! Also FYI they have a lot of other food and drink options other than coffee.
I was politely greeted by the servicing staff 3 behind the counter upon entering. The coffee shops artsy and dare I say "hipster" atmosphere is what I wanted in a coffee shop. Its punched up though with a upscale aesthetic which lends itself to the wine bar portion of its name. I had a black drip coffee named "house roast", which was earthy with a medium bitterness that I prefer. Staff was friendly and open to all of my questions. Plenty of parking outside in the shopping plaza with at worst a short walk to the entrance. Will be coming back for the "wine" part!
