Mission

It is the mission of the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office to reduce both crime and the fear of crime throughout Tuscaloosa County thus enhancing the quality of life for the citizens of Tuscaloosa County. This will be accomplished by safeguarding individual liberties and implementing community partnerships to obtain assistance and resources from other agencies both public and private.
This Office will fulfill its mission in a compassionate, patient, and courteous manner with integrity, honesty, and loyalty to ourselves and the citizens we serve.

Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office expects that users will not post materials that falls into the following categories, and will remove postings that are:
(a) abusive, defamatory, or obscene;(b) fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading;(c) in violation of any intellectual property right of another;(d) in violation of any law or regulation, or(e) personal attacks, use of profanity, or otherwise offensive.
A comment will also be deleted if it contains:
• Hate speech
• Profanity, obscenity or vulgarity
• Nudity in profile pictures
• Defamation to a person or people
• Name calling and/or personal attacks,
• Comments whose main purpose are to sell a product, and
• Comments that infringe on copyrights,
• Spam comments, such as the same comment posted repeatedly
• Other comments that the Tuscaloosa Co Sheriff’s Office deems inappropriate.

If, in Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office's judgment, an individual continually posts inappropriate material, Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office may exercise its right to block that individual from posting content on the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Facebook Page. All links posted as comments on Tuscaloosa County Sheriff’s Office page will be reviewed and may be deleted.
