I purchased a spa package on Groupon that included a massage,facial,and haircut all for $69. I received my first impression of Tuscany Spa with an employee on the front porch smoking and had just hauled a wad of snot out of her mouth. Not the best impression. Once I walked in I headed to the waiting room to the left and then was taken upstairs to start receiving my massage. As we were walking up the stairs their were no lights turned on, and it wasn't bc they were creating an atmosphere. So up the dark stairs and hallway to a room with a rickety ceiling fan and no lights to see to get undressed.  Once I climbed on the table I was greeted with music and armpit stench.  My ma suss had the worst body odor.  After my 45 min massage which was suppose to be and hr I threw on my robe and was led across the hall to get my facial done. This was my favorite part of the entire experience until 2 days later my face was so chapped by the harsh products the gal used on my face.  I have to mention that this gal ended up being the snot/smoking greeter at the door so her hands smelled like smoke while working on my face.
Downstairs I go after an 1hr and 15 min facial.  Once again there were no lights on except in the foyer and where my hair was getting cut. She washed my hair in the dark and led me back to the chair.  After probing my hairstylist about her experience she proceeds to tell me she received her certification up in Woodland Park from a school where she was the first student to graduate! Oh fantastic... and her experienced showed. Even though her cards say Master Stylist there is nothing master about her skills. She took the thinning sheers to the top of my hair and just kept cutting while never checking to match the layers. So now I have choppy hair that is not layered correctly from a gal that should not posses the title of Master Stylist.  The owner needs to repaint, pick her weeds, turn the lights on, and hire qualified individuals to bring services to her clientele or she will be out of business soon. 
Normally this experience would have cost me $200.

After buying a 3 service Groupon for $69, I paid my first and last visit the Tuscany Day Spa today. I should have just thrown the Groupon away:
(1) Parking is a joke.
(2) It is not clear how to get into the building, I ended up. stepping over a downspout contraption and around a big hole to get to the front door. Turns out there is a tiny sign in the back, where you park that does instruct those who get within 5' of it that they may enter through the back door.
(3) The place is dark, dirty, and tacky. 
(4) It was cold! Hello, full body massages & body scrubs are not so great when you are shivering. Fault the owner for this, not the techs.
(5) Several times I was left wondering and even asking, "ok, what do I do next, where do I go?" there would be an awkward silence, me standing there waiting to be guided to the next service, them looking at me with a look of "what do you want?". Terribly unprofessional, uncomfortable and awkward to say the least.
(6) The message & conversation w/Christine was great.
(7) The facial, body scrub (extra purchase of $75) w/Settie, also great.
(8a) Hair cut by Paige was fine (I think!), conversation, none. I also bought a color too. I asked her to look at my roots and go back to the med.dark brown of my roots (my length was slightly lighter), she showed me colors, both looked med.brown in the poorly lit room and I picked one. My hair came out BLACK, so BLACK it even had purple tint to it. (8b) While styling my hair, she dropped the hair brush on the floor, picked it up and used it on my hair anyway (in a later convo with Karen, the owner, she said the bristles did not hit the floor, so it is ok to use anyway, I will be asking the state about that one).
*  In addition to the $69 Groupon, I added other services for which I paid full price. I was charged $137 for the body scrub and my new BLACK hair, I tipped $13 on the massage, $15 on the facial and body scrub, $5 for the hair cut & $0 on the color. 
*  Before returning home I visited another salon and got advice on how to get some of the BLACK out of my hair before it set in permanently. I then spent the next 2 hours at my house, washing my hair with Dawn, rinsing it with super hot water, putting an extra Virgin Olive Oil hot oil treatment on it, washing it w/a volumizing shampoo, rinsing it with hot water again, then finally using my better shampoo and condition on it. It is slightly lighter.
*  In the middle of my at home hair fix, I called the Salon and asked for a refund of just the color, the owner Karen said they CAN'T do refunds (oh yes they CAN, I paid $150 in cash & $20 on credit card, just hand me back the cash for the color). She said I could come in and have Paige change it. Right, I just love the way they offer something that they KNOW the unhappy customer will NEVER do.
STAY AWAY!  If you bought the Groupon, THROW IT AWAY!
If they respond, they will say I was just unhappy about my hair, I say, go take a tour yourself! (I was there half a day, I got a good, close look at how dirty and gross everything is, especially on the lower level)!  Yes, her refusal to issue a refund or even offer a partial refund was the straw that broke the camels back, but hey, it bought her this advertising ;)
