The Twilight Theatre will provide access to quality, affordable performing arts events, film entertainment, educational opportunities, and other cultural experiences for the benefit of people in rural Southwest Kansas.
Twilight Theatre, Inc. is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation. In collaboration with Unified School District 422 and Kiowa County Media Center Foundation, this organization shall strive to provide top-notch performing arts and film education empowering artists of all ages to create and appreciate the arts. We will welcome and provide vocational opportunities for volunteers who are interested in all facets of arts entertainment. It is our focus to bring local and national artists together to foster a long-lasting arts community committed to new ideas and environmentally-friendly practices.
The new Twilight Theatre will not only continue its history of film and stage performances, it will also be utilized by U.S.D. 422 for a full slate of school activities. Weddings, birthday, or anniversary receptions will also be accommodated.
Stage enhancements will provide a venue suitable for hosting a variety of performing arts entertainment. Development of a community theater program will provide an opportunity for education regarding film-making, acting, screen-play writing, set design and construction, wardrobe, makeup, lighting and sound system control, and a host of other. Promoting amateur and upcoming talent will be pivotal for this program.
Live streaming capabilities will enable conference and workshop events to reach a global audience.
