I arrived the day before labor day, and found it very busy, not very noisy. Clean. Showers require a token for 3 minutes. 2 tokens for a dollar. The quiet time begins at 10pm, and it was quiet. On labor day itself, everyone else left and the park that evening was quite empty. A ranger told me that during winter, a substantial area of the park, floods, but they close that area off then. All campsites are close to and an easy walk to the beach. There is a good restaurant within walking distance, but a moderately busy road must be crossed to reach it. The park is around 4 miles south of the city West Port.

Make sure to bring at least a can of Off for 3 people per day. Other than the bugs, I loved this place. It was quiet when we were there, Late June. The weather was beautiful. There were not very many people on that side of the campground. When we pulled into our spot we we're swarmed with mosquitoes like I have never seen in my life. Up my nose in my eyes hair, everywhere. They even followed us back into the car, where we quickly drove to get a can and apply it. I had some with lemon and eucalyptus DON'T TRY THAT, they loved it. Get the deep woods off. Seriously beyond bugs, it's a beautiful little place.

It's a little chilly. The ranger is not in during listed hours. It changes every day. It's scary using the crosswalk between the two campsites. Campsite is great! Bathrooms are clean. Beach is so close that you fall asleep to the waves. We will definitely come back. Awesome memories made here 💜

Have stayed here twice now and had a great experience both times. Bring cash or check because it's almost always self serve. Stay in a tent or hookup site for inexpensive and spacious sites with easy beach access. Newly added cabins are a fun way to get away and stay out of the occasionally unpredictable weather. The cabins have comfy beds and are great for last minute trips.

We stayed five days in mid-august. The weather was perfect and there was no mosquitoes. The staff was very helpful and very nice. If I were to suggest anything it would be to stay in the campground farthest from the beach. The nice thing about that is it's more secluded more privacy and you can still hear the ocean at night. Any of the campsites between 70 and 80.
