When my wife and I are discussing dinner, and someone says, "I could really go for a GOOD burger"...Twisted Root is the type of place we're talking about. High quality ingredients, cooked to perfection, in a cool atmosphere. Fries and house-made chips are also excellent. It's a bit on the higher price side I suppose, since everything is an extra charge pretty much. But to me, it's worth it.

Great food, atmosphere and adult beverages!  Their selection of craft beer on tap is impressive!  The adult shakes are pretty good too as long as a few calories does not scare you. The burgers are large and cooked to order. The selection of meats is nice. I have always just gotten buffalo as it's low fat and very tasty and moist every time. I enjoyed the bathroom "art"!as well. Who doesn't like a good Chuck Noris saying?

I like this place.  It's just good and fun. Their burgers are creative and delicious,  sides are good,  especially the fried green tomatoes.  Right now, bluesman Buddy Flett is entertaining on the patio every Tuesday night. I personally like the Shreveport location better than the Bossier City spot due to the ambiance.  Shreveport is in a woodsy setting.  BC is on Airline Drive.  Food's the same both places,  but one location is better than the other,  to me.

Pros: they have a great selection of exotic meats and fries are great. The gluten free bun is light and fluffy ( a rare thing). They do have beer.

Cons: the burgers are cooked to the point that the meat is crumbling. They  start at medium well and will not cook medium rare as I like mine. If they were truly using quality meat then this would not be an issue. They took great exotic game meat and overcooked it to the point it was no longer recognizable. A complete waste of good game meat.
They have a terrible selection of drinks, and absolutely the worst tea I have ever had including the tea from a convenience store that let it sit out all day and turned rancid. The sweet tea is flavored with watermelon and the lemonade is flavored with cranberry. They do not have regular sweet tea or lemonade. I don't drink anything carbonated so my options were limited and with the burgers from death valley I was desperate, let's just say I will drink water from the bar ditch before i drink here.

I have eaten burgers from around the country and parts of Mexico, this is the worst that I have ever had. Save your money and go to Whataburger before wasting it here.

Do NOT accept an invitation to leave the long busy line to order from the bar!! Bartender NEVER offered to take our orders, after I finally got him to take our orders we NEVER got our drinks and our orders were mixed up with another customers orders. It was simply too much business for them to handle.
