My fiancee and I were making a concerted effort to see the island. Alas, Tybee Island Taxi Service ensured that this dream would never come to fruition. 

This quest all started after a lovely lunch at a neighboring island when we contacted the self-proclaimed "cab service." We contacted someone who mumbled unintelligibly about meeting us in "a few minutes." Two hours later, my loving fiancee and I, red with frustration and sun poisoning from the wait, were still seated upon our bench with only the neighborhood cat providing us solace in this hard, difficult time.  

Angry, we called back! Not only did the so-called "Taxi Service" dodge our call--this happened a multitude of times! Eventually, dehydrated and angry, we downloaded Uber and went back into Savannah without ever stepping foot on the island.

This is the most trying time my loving fiancee and I have ever experienced. Curse you, Tybee Island "Taxi Service." Please note, our Uber drive proceeded to earn a five star rating. While strongly worded, this recollection of our tale is no less true. I highly recommend walking, crawling, or hitchhiking as these will all lead to better results than the two hours you will sit on a bench beside a major highway, withering away under the cruel Georgia sun.
