I had a unit there for over two years. The first year was ok, except  that you had no access to your items after dusk. There is no automatic gate or code to gain gain access. The major problem came when I found a dead rat in my unit after the first year. There wasn't any noticeable damage or signs of other infestation, so I chalked it up to a fluke. One thing that should have clued me in about this place was the many rat traps between units. I thought they were just preventative. I had no idea they were fighting an ongoing infestation for years. The placed from the outside seemed to be well kept and clean, but I guess it's the whole book and cover thing. The second year I found holes through the ceiling insulation, and rat excrement everywhere. They had chewed up a king size mattress, a sectional recliner couch. They had eaten through many boxes and even through plastic bottles that had various cleaning agents in them. All of that being said, the REAL problem is that the owner took none of the responsibility, gave me attitude, and even had the audacity to suggest that I had brought the rats to the storage unit with me.
