A story about my hair appointment:
Sheila!!!!! First off, I booked my appointment last minute online, but it all went smoothly when I showed up. Sheila is so bubbly and seemed so happy to see me even though we've never met. My hair had seen way better days, after being bleached, dyed multiple times, and in the sun and the sea over the past few months it was DRY. It needed some serious TLC. I was almost embarrassed to sit in Sheila's chair and talk about what I wanted, worried she would lecture or shun me for not taking better care of it - as some hair stylists do. That was not the case at all! She was super sweet and suggested I get a pH balance treatment for nourishment. Which has made my hair 10xs better. I told her I wanted to keep as much length as possible even though a lot of it is damaged. She listened! She didn't try to chop it all off even though it probably should be. I'm in love with my hair and she brought it back to life. She has magic in her hands!

I love Ulta as a place to purchase my make up and hair products! however, I have used the Salon there 2x and my hair was ruined both times. The stylist do not know what they are doing! and it is very expensive. I paid a lot for cut and color and didn't get what I wanted and I have to pay someone else to redo my hair. right before family pictures too! such a waste of time! The stylist I saw recently was named Robin.

Great selection of items! 

I actually appreciate not being hounded by the staff when I'm here, as opposed to at Sephora where it feels like I'm being watched at every turn. I prefer to take my time and browse, then if I have a question I will ask. 

Every time I've needed help finding an item, I can always find an employee to help. On top of that, the girls at the checkout counter are always very nice and upbeat!

This particular store did not offer a great shopping experience. I was there around 5:30PM on 7/27/17. When I walked in there were 4 employees huddled at the front. They welcomed me when I walked into the store but never offered to assist me with anything. There were several customers in the store and I never saw a single one of them ask anyone if they needed any help. I was looking for a particular brand of mascara and obviously there are tons of options in the store. I didn't know where to start to find it and could have been in and out in a few seconds if someone had offered to assist me. I tried finding it myself but finally had to go ask the huddle of employees at the front to help me.

I have had mixed experiences here, sometimes the staff is helpful, sometimes I couldn't even find an employee to ask a question.  They have good products and sometimes free samples come with the purchase. I send my husband in since he works nearby, he says they always help him find what I need withno problems!
