Uncle Vinnie's Clam Bar is a neighborhood bar and restaurant that specializes in Italian style seafood. A Raritan landmark since 1989, we are proud to continue to serve the community as a family owned and operated establishment.

It was 9pm and the place was as crowded as if it was early dinner. The place is in the middle of nowhere, so without my gps I would never have  found it.  The place is small with a bar type atmosphere. 
The service was sketchy but that may have been because it was crowded. I had to make myself known to get any service. When I finally was able to order and the food arrived. OMG, the food was outstanding.  I ordered the sea food pasta which resulted in half the Atlantic Ocean on my plate. I had a hard time finding the pasta. The plate tasted fantastic but it was so much I could not finish it. The place is a bit pricey but it is worth while. 
I will definitely be returning since I have found a new favorite sea food restaurant.

The place was recommended to me but the experience was really bad.  That bar is very expensive, no place to sit, has very simple menu, specials without prices. They don't even have choice of pasta just the linguine. Small portions, very simple, nothing special but extremely expensive, waiter had an attitude and couldn't write what we wanted. Only bred and olive was good there. Would not go there again. Regular diner has better menu and food and the prices are 1/3 of what it cost here. Maybe that is why they don't write prices.  Owner was nice and trying to be accomodating

The quality here seems to me to be on a steady downturn the last few years. I'm willing to give a pass now and then to a place, but how many "off nights" can one tolerate? On my last time here with friends, the food was unremarkable, rather small portions and totally forgettable. We had a grumpy waitress to top it off...not a great night. A shame, because I can remember it being quite a bit better a few years ago....and yet the place is still inexplicably packed most nights.

Been here 3 separate times, and each one was subpar at best. The only reason I went 2 other times was cause people said "maybe it was an off day." I really don't get it, it's plain as can be and just not good seafood. Decent bar though
