I ordered a half pie and some mac and cheese balls. If a full pie is 8 slices, why did I only get 2 in a half pie. Went back in and asked about it and was told there were 4 slices...How is this 4 slices!? Looks like 2 slices cut in half! Look at my pictures and compare them to the other pictures in the reviews. Yeah...definitely not 4 slices. I remember the slices being bigger and the mac and cheese balls coming with 6 balls. Not worth the 35 dollars I paid. Waited more than an hour for this!? Absolutely ridiculous.
We visited the Towson location. The food was very good. Our waitress is a new hire and had to check on a lot of the questions we asked, given it was our first time there. Needless to say, we all survived it and had a ton of laughs on the way. We started with the honey oldbay wings, which were amazing. Happy Hour special, we got 8 for $10. For pizzas, we got the Jawn. It's a twist on a cheessteak, and it was pretty darn good. For our second pizza, we got the tiger king, which is the equivalent of meat lovers. This pizza was delicious. They offer full, half, and gluten-free. 8 slices for full. 4 slices for half. Trust me, a half will more that fill you up. I'm so glad we didn't just order pizza hut and have it delivered due to the rain. I will definitely be back here. Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten free Parking: Depending on the day and time of day, you go. During the week it's a very busy area.
So I was craving mozzarella sticks and wings. I ordered here through the Slice app because I’ve visited the one downtown twice and loved my food. My order was $27 for just 8 wings and cheese sticks! The mozzarella sticks weren’t like the ones I’ve had downtown. They weren’t good. They were supposed to be hand made sticks but the ones I received seemed frozen. Also, the ones downtown were much bigger. What’s worse, is they give the smallest container of marinara for about 6 cheese sticks. I wasn’t even enough sauce to dip all sticks. For $9.50 it’s a no for me. I also got the honey obay wings. They were good but I’m not sure if I would buy again at that price. I did notice they have a happy hour and the wings were on the menu. If I want wings or pizza again from this place, I’ll just go to happy hour. NEVER order the mozzarella sticks! The young ladies were nice!
Do not hesitate to treat yourself to some gourmet pizza! The negative reviews almost deterred me but price tag is honestly fair considering this is the best pizza my bf & I have ever had. I got the half size Tiger King came with 4 pieces total and the appetizer sampler which came with 3 mozzarella sticks + more but I ate them all before I took the picture. Loved having the variety of sauces to choose from. + I got 2 meals out of this! I am so excited to get this again!
Underground Pizza is a solid pizza place with great crust. The sauce is average and the toppings are generally good, though our cheesesteak pizza had tough meat. The pepperoni was excellent and the appetizers were great. The standout dish for us was the fried Mac and Cheese balls with hot honey. We found ourselves walking up to the counter most of the time to get the service we needed rather than being serviced at our table. With only four tables seated and two attending waitresses, we couldn't quite understand what the holdup was. Parking: Parking is difficult. Expect to walk from a paid street spot some number of blocks away. The restaurant itself has no parking. Kid-friendliness: This is not a very kid-friendly establishment. Most seating is high top. Wheelchair accessibility: This establishment is not wheelchair accessible and has almost no seating that could accommodate any physical disabilities.
My wife and I tried the Quattro Stagioni their sampler since it was our first time eating here. Just wanted to try some different options without committing to whole pies. The funfetti and woodlands were our favorites of the four. Tiger king has too much going on with the meats that makes it overly salty and the pesto doesn’t really have a strong pesto flavor. If you’ve tried the pesto chicken pizza from Pub Dog for us Baltimoreans then you’ll know what I’m talking about. Overall this place is pretty solid and I like the deep dish nature of the pies. We’re going to have to get the full experience and dine in next time. Since this was an online order it was quick and easy and our food was ready when we arrived.
A very cool and intimate spot. I could see it being a late at night first date spot. The UPC sampler was pretty good minus the risotto balls, kind of bland to me but the mozerella sticks made up for it. Also the Pepperoni in the mac and cheese can be a little overwhelming. Dipping sauces were good. My pizza was the star of the show! The Cluckaneer is amazing. The chicken combo with the Buffalo and blue cheese dressing go together so well. Detroit style pizza still catches me off guard with the excess amount of bread, but the toppings carried over. 10/10 recommend. Ordered: UPC Sampler, The Cluckaneer
Pizza really good and different for MD area, mango habanero wings were ok but I'd probably just get buffalo next time. The one bleu cheese/ranch cup you get per lb of wings could definitely be biggerFood: 4/5
Awesome pizza! I've visited the Towson location twice now and it brings the same quality Detroit-style pizza as their original downtown location. The last pizza I got was the Buffalo Chicken Pickle Bacon Ranch PBR... and this is the reason I like UPC so much! Where else are you going to find fun and inventive pizza topping combos like this!? The price point is on the higher side, but the pizzas are more filling and composed of more ingredients of a better quality than your chain pizza joints. They also have lots of vegan pies as well for those wanting that option. Mozz sticks are also bomb. Definitely worth a try on your next pizza night! :
Ordered a half pepperoni and half cheese for takeout. The crust and sauce were really great, however we were disappointed that the pepperoni was just the standard type, not the cups as shown on site and social feeds, only reason why we ordered it. It's super filling so even though 4 slices for half size seems small, that's enough for 2 people. Price point is pretty high for pizza, not sure we will order again due to this.
