Long standing Hmong family business, 35 years and going. We specialize in Southeast Asian food products but also carry a wide range of Asian groceries, products, and various items.

Story

Union Market was established in August of 1982 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin with a partnership of four people under the original trade name of Hmong's Oriental Store:

* Cha Lee (Appleton)
* Ger Kue (Manitowoc)
* Shoua Dao Yang (Sheboygan)
* Xia Vue Yang (Sheboygan)

After one year in business, the partnership acquired a second store in Manitowoc that was sold to partner Ger Kue. Ger left the partnership in Sheboygan to run the store in Manitowoc. Six months later, Cha Lee also left the partnership. In 1987, Shoua Dao left and only Xia Vue continued to run the business in Sheboygan with his family.

In 1992, Hmong's Oriental Store was incorporated in the state of Wisconsin under the name of HMOS CORPORATION. Then in the summer of 1999, Hmong's Oriental Store moved to its new location at 2022 S. 17th Street, and took a new look with a new name. Welcome to Union Market.
