Super welcoming, inclusive, and friendly congregation. Really interesting "think outside the box" sermons. I would recommend it to anybody with an open mind, anybody looking for something different, critical thinkers, and even for the non-religious.

We attended this church for years when we lived in the area and it was a great source of meaningful sermons, great friends, classes that kept our kids coming and positive influence in our lives. I'd give them a 6 star rating if I could.

Warm people, open minds. A welcoming congregation to all people. Lots of singing by the congregation, as well as the choir (choir usually attends every other Sunday). Most Sundays are led by the minister but between a fourth and a half of sermons are delivered by visiting ministers and people within the congregation. There is an active religious education program, led by the Director of Religious Education, with a mix of curricula from the Unitarian Universalist Association and contributions from the director and other active religious education volunteer teachers from the congregation. Childcare spans from newborns to High School. Toddlers typically play outside in the fenced yard, in addition to attending class inside, participating in arts and crafts, story time and class discussions. There is considerable study of the UU faith, as well as many other faiths and traditions in society, for the children in elementary and middle school, with children meeting in separate rooms by age group. The high school group participates in cummunity service activities, in addition to having regular classes in a separate room during Service. There are occasional Services which include the children too. And children are always welcome to attend Service, if preferred. There are also several groups of adults, kids and families that meet during the week for dinners, activities and discussions. There is always coffee and tea and sometimes food after Service. Summers are entirely "lay led" by parishioners and visiting ministers, while the minister takes time off, along with the choir and Director of Religious Education. There is a Board of Directors that makes decisions for the church, within the guidelines of the Unitarian Universalist Association. There are several committees and volunteers who perform tasks that support the church, as well as a person who takes care of business in the office. The minister is always available for appointments and also holds regular office hours for further information.
