We offer state-of-the-art dental services at two convenient locations. With offices in Arleta and Sylmar we provide cosmetic and restorative dentistry for you entire family.

Our multi-specialty practice offers cosmetic dentistry, restorative dentistry, orthodontics, periodontal procedures and children's dentistry in addition to general dental services. We also offer invisalign, solutions for loose dentures, and have an oral surgeon on staff.

Writing this review on behalf of my husband who has been to this dentist office for two root canals and a cleaning. Our last dentist not only over charged us but was completely rude and unprofessional at times with both me and my husband (and I wasn't even a patient). When we came to United Family Dental Group, they made my husband feel comfortable with the knowledge they had and the friendly staff. He got all the dental work he needed and his appointments never took longer than estimated. We will definitely be coming here for now on.

I am not a picky customer and I usually try to be patient because I know how busy and complicated the health care field can be. The staff and professionalism of the front and back office staff is the only thing that saves this place. I had two wisdom teeth removed. I had to see the “specialist” who only comes once a month. The follow up was done by Dr. Afshin Zarbakhash, also known as “Dr. Z”. The week after, he assured me I was healing well. I went in two additional times in the weeks that followed. I had to diagnose MYSELF, with dry socket, huge holes in my mouth that would not heal! It took me 3 months to heal, and until this day, I still have a small opening which I must watch to prevent food from becoming trapped. I asked him if he could pack it with something to help it seal and prevent food from going in there. He declined. He said, “it is fine, it will heal on its own” Yeah, meantime I am in pain, and I must constantly irrigate myself to withdraw the food that inevitably gets stuck. Hello!! Infection risk? He did not know how to handle it. He said, maybe you need to see the specialist, NEXT MONTH! Really? Because it is not you who is in pain. I literally had to heal on my own doing salt water rinses & ibuprofen, that I recommended for myself, because according to him there was no need to do anything. Ok, I gave this doctor the benefit of the doubt. I brought my two-and-a-half-year-old son here. The first time he was treated by Dr. Imanuel. He is not much of a people person, but at least he knew what he was doing. My son chipped off his front tooth, and he fixed it. Like a normal toddler he fought, but it was manageable. I returned a few weeks later, as my son chipped off the fill that was created during the first visit. I made an appointment, which was attempted to be changed, because Dr. Z wanted to leave early on a Friday. My son was placed on the dental chair, I asked them to raise it, my husband would hold his lower body, and I his upper body and face. I asked Dr. Z if he wanted to use a bite guard, which he said, “no it is ok”. He proceeded to examine my son, a fighting toddler. Obviously, like a normal child, my son had to bite, he bit Dr. Z’s finger. OBVIOUSLY! Dr. Z screamed like a child and walked away from the dental exam station, mumbling profanity. A few minutes later the office manager and the two other dental back office assistants were trying to justify his absence, as he did not return back to explain anything to us. His staff began offering an appointment with the specialist, you guessed it, NEXT MONTH!!!! Really? Things would have been better if Dr. Z had the professionalism to direct himself directly to us and explain that he did not feel comfortable with children, etc. No, they made my leave work early for this appointment, only to make me waste my time, but at least Dr. Z got to go home early on a Friday, right? Personally, I will not be returning. The lack of professionalism and skills from Dr. Z did it for me. If I could give 0 starts, I would.
