I was waiting on a very important package, and stayed in my living room all day, checking the for every 30 minutes. 8pm rolls around and I check the status of my tracking of the package, and it said it was tried to deliver at 6pm and they couldn't find a place to put it, so they left a receipt that allows me to pick it up the next day. As you can guess, there was no note, nor did anyone stop by house to deliver the package. When I went in to speak with someone at the post office, the 2 women were nothing but completely rude. My advice, try to avoid going to this place in person.

HUGE post office. Nice and neat most of the time. Parking is a joke, though.

I would rather go to the dentist and get a tooth pulled without novacaine than deal with the miserable, worthless, people who work the front desk.

Easy to access the building, they have a handicapped ramp for wheelchairs. There is usually a wait when you go in as it seems understaffed.

Let me preface this review with two things: 1) I like the USPS carriers that deliver. They are nice, kind, and always on time. 2) This is specifically for the Ephrata PA post office building, the front counter workers. I have a business in Ephrata, and about twice a month, for some reason, a package is un-deliverable to me, so I get that beautiful orange slip that says 'come pick it up from us tomorrow'. Although it's annoying, that's not my problem. It's the service inside the post office. Not ONE single time have I ever seen more than one person working the front register. Almost every single time I go in, there are more than 4, if not 8 or 10 people in line. Sometimes I honestly just have to walk out and try another day, because the line is so long, it's taking so long, and for some reason, they can't call someone else. The ONLY time I ever go in is to pick up a package. There should be some sort of a line, some sort of a quick pickup thing. I don't want to wait 15 minutes in line to pick up a package that should have been delivered yesterday. The employees are not friendly. I don't expect much because they work for the government, but they they're simply, at best, OK. I will end this review with an experience from my brother. He ordered some comic books online. The person shipped via Media Mail. Apparently this is a no-go, and comic books should be shipped some other way. That's fine and all, but has NOTHING to do with the person PICKING IT UP. He went in to pick up the package. First of all, the post office charged him the difference that it would have cost to send it priority mail instead of media mail. This is... somewhat understandable, but should be picked up by the SENDER. The part that blew both our minds is that the lady working (this particular incident was at the Denver PA post office) pulled out a little slip that said what was allowed to be sent Media Mail, and essentially made him read it out loud, and highlight the part that says 'no comic books' We are NOT 8 years old, and we were NOT the senders. We did NOT send the comic books, we were just picking them up. To be treated like an 8 year old is beyond anything I can imagine. I dislike almost everything about USPS, except the carriers.
