Great and friendly staff. I always go there after work to do my shipping of my side job. They handle packages carefully unlike some other post offices where they throw them like a basketball in a hoop.

The Postal Workers at the Hillside location are amazing! They are professional, knowledgeable, warm and friendly! I will drive several miles out of my way in order to do business at the Hillside Postal Office as they excel in customer service. Thank You to the Awesome Hillside Postal Team for all that you do! Go there and be prepared to stand in a very long line forever while one very slow gal works the desk and all the rest are laughing in the back and not helping her along. No smiles or friendliness, they must hate their jobs. Lost packages galore! You want to file a claim on that lost package? Well get ready to fill out forms (can't do it on-line), turn them in IN PERSON and make a dozen calls and visits before anything gets done. And forget about hoping they'll scan...they won't do it so there's no internet tracking of anything you send thru them even if you request it and even pay for it. Then there's the wrong mail you constantly get while yours goes to who knows where. If you can go to any other Post Office in the area....save yourself a huge headache and just go there instead. This location explains why cook county has the lowest satisfaction rate in almost the whole nation!

I have called many times during the week the hillside post office but no one picks up the phone. Also yesterday, 8/27/08 there was no mail service and the mail person never came to pick up the mail and calling the post office is of no use because no one picks up the phone either. Dr. MS
