extremely rude and frankly offensive staff who act like they're doing you a favor just by showing up for work. I was dropping off a package recently and had to change something on the label, and the guy just throws his hands up in the air and rolls his eyes like I'm just ruining his whole day by asking him to do his job for five minutes. Besides this, they're terribly understaffed - there are three work terminals but I've never seen more than two people working them, and it seems that they tend to reduce this staffing to one over lunch. And this being a military installation, lunch is perhaps their busiest time of day. If you show up at noon on a workday the line will be practically out the door because there is probably only going to be a single person working a counter. As for package deliveries to a PO box, it routinely takes 1-2 days after delivery before they actually put the notice in your mailbox. And to top it off (this is what prompted me to write about my experiences here), they are now apparently closed on Saturday but have left no way for anyone to know this. The posted signage still says open 9:30 to noon, but there's no one inside, and it took a phone call to another branch by one of the several people waiting inside to learn that they're closed Saturdays now. I went back in during the week and asked one of the clerks who told me they in fact are not closed on Saturday. So either they're open on Saturday and someone just decided they weren't going to come in to work, or they are closed Saturday and the staff doesn't even know. I don't know which is worse.

They've been holding half my package or either stole the half the package because I only got half of the package and it's been 2 weeks now. Not to mention another package that's been signed for and sitting in the post office for 3 weeks. Don't even bother ordering to here.

It is a toss up when ever you go in. I have had good customer service and I have had very unprofessional customer service. There is a huge difference between the customer service you get off post. Off post is consistently great customer service. On post it depends on who is behind the desk working. Sorry to say this but it is very very true. I hope they can get some folks in there that have more good days then bad days.Going into 2017 I hope the post office on Fort Gordon becomes more user friendly and improves their customer service.

Horrible. Clerk #8 was extremely rude. She also told me I had the wrong zip code and changed it... Now the package is lost and I have no clue where it is.

They are usually friendly but extremely slow. I tend to forget until I get in line. It will be faster to drive off-post to Grovetown and back then it is to wait in line. It does not matter if it is 2 people or 15.
