Usually not the first location I head to even though it's the closest one to my home. Not rude but spotty customer service and when there's a line turn around and leave because it moves so slowly. For some reason when I send a package from this location it always takes an extra day when all of the locations surrounding it will get there on time. The best thing that could happen to this place is an APC machine. Then I would just go there all the time.

Where did my and all the other prior reviews go? Are you making Google delete your well earned negative reviews? This USPS location has caused me and others serious issues many times! For comparison, the location in Ellenton is doing a really good job, but you guys? How many times did you screw up by not delivering on time, claiming that nobody was at home or mixing up mails within the neighborhood? Half of the staff at location is rude, including the manager.

I had a package from Amazon sent to my old address and called the post office. Sam held on to my package for me the next day so I could pick it up. Great service and a job well done. Thank you Sam, my friend will now have her Birthday present .

I gave them one star because there isn't anything less as an option. Had there been I would have selected it. The entire USPS is a sad, mismanaged, over-worked monopoly that should be turned over to the private sector. I mailed a letter guaranteed overnight delivery and it didn't make it. It's missing. They can't find it but say it was delivered to GPS coordinates so it was delivered. I guess close is good enough for them. I've spoken to every supervisor in the Palmetto post office and they can't get anything done. Today I was given the phone numbers for the receiving post office. One of the 4 numbers was no longer in service. The other 3 rang, rang, rang, and rang until finally went to a fax tone. They have no idea what customer service is or the word GUARANTEE. I'm not letting them off the hook. I've contacted my congressman Vern Buchanan and paperwork is on the way to file a claim. This is good news for UPS and FEDEX. I won't be using the USPS again.

USPS has incorrectly delivered more packages by far than they have correctly delivered them. Today they put the key to the parcel box with my package inside of it in another person's mailbox yet again. Hopefully they will return my package to me. It's sad that I have to rely on strangers being honest because USPS can't complete the simple task of placing a key in the right mailbox.
