My goslings would all be dead if not for the kindness of the people at the Olean post office. I ordered goslings through the mail and the company's computer system had a glitch and (even though the confirmation e-mail had my current address) they sent them to my old address on Long Island that I had previously ordered them at. That post office forwarded them to my correct address, but the goslings were hatched and shipped Monday and the box didn't make it here until Friday afternoon. Everyone, including the company I purchased the gosling from, said there was no chance for survivors when they did not show up in the Friday morning delivery.

When they arrived in Olean one had passed and the other two were near death, not making any noise or really moving. The box was wet. Knowing the situation and that the goslings had shipped on Monday, the compassionate people at the Olean post office put a dry, clean towel in the box to provide some warmth and to cover up the one that had died. They also made sure the surviving two received food and water. When I received the box, I was delighted to hear peeping coming from within. The first 24 hours were a little shaky, but they are both doing very well now. Thank you for saving my goslings!

Needs more parking and employees when busy. That is 98% of the time.

This is a truly terrible USPS location. The crabby silver-haired woman behind the counter hates her job and takes it out on paying customers. The post master (3rd in like 5 years) is as worthless as the last 2. I won't even send my mail out from here anymore; I take it to Allegany or Bradford. Customers beware!

Slow staff. Some are friendly, many are not.

Good service, suggestions for mailing cheaply. Only a few parking spots with Olean's new roundabout it's worse
