This post office is entertaining to visit because the employees are such unique characters. The trick is to not go during busy times. Otherwise, you'll be waiting awhile in line. We did all of our passports here with no issues and have been using their other services for the past 12 years. They also have a self service machine in the lobby for stamps and small packages.

Everyone is always very friendly and helpful. Never an issue there. But sometimes the waiting line is at the door.

Not sure why everyone gave such a bad review but this has always been the best post-office staff i ever came across. They are just awesome. Thank you so very much for all your help USPS. Most helping staff you can ever come across. The best.

Could not be more pleased with the service, attention to detail, and effort I received from Stephanie on 12/5/16.... She helped bail me out of a huge problem which was no fault of the Postal Service. Within an hour of notification she had located and redirected (and returned to me) a very valuable envelope with no address or stamp. (Placed in Postal System by accident) I can't thank her enough for her efforts and high level of customer service

The only reason they even deserve one star is that the employees are nice, however, I am not sure of their level of competence. They delivered a package to my apartment that was too big for my mail box (contents worth over $100). Instead of leaving it at the front office or leaving a slip in my box for me to pick it up at the post office, they left it outside my apartment where all 19 of the neighboring apartments in my hallway could have access to it or, even worse, figure out no one was home the entire weekend and rob me . two weeks later I moved out of state and physically went to the post office to put in a change of address. I told them about the above incident and how displeased I was with the package being abandoned. I further told them I was expecting 2 more packages to be delivered that I didn't think would be delivered before I moved out of state. They assured me that they would not deliver them, that the packages would be forwarded to me at my new address C.O.D. for the additional shipping charges. I moved from Schenectady over two weeks ago. Today I received an email from my old apartment complex in Schenectady telling me that 2 packages have been sitting outside my door and someone finally took them to the office after concluding no one lived in the apartment anymore. Thank God my previous neighbors are honest and no one took them. I have no idea how I'm going to get them forwarded to me since the Nott Street post office won't pick up their phone! I'm SO disgusted!!!
