Story

United Teletech Financial is a not-for-profit financial cooperative serving our members and their families since 1967. Originally chartered to serve the needs of Bell Labs employees, membership to United Teletech Financial is now open to any person who lives, works, worships, attends school or volunteers in Monmouth and Ocean counties and portions of central Middlesex County.

United Teletech Financial has grown to over 380 sponsor companies and 24,000 members. As a financial cooperative, United Teletech Financial offers many of the same services and products as banks, with one significant difference - we're owned by our members. That means our earnings go right back to our membership in the form of better rates, fewer fees, and extra services!

While the staff is very polite, their knowledge of banking is severely lacking.  Went to deposit a beneficiary IRA forced distribution into my account, a cashier's check,  and was refused.  The check was made payable to me ABO my deceased mother and they insisted it should be FBO.  When I attempted to explain that my mother was deceased and there is no legal or legitimate way the check could be made payable FBO, the manager could not have cared less.  He basically gave me the worst possible incorrect direction.  Their lack of knowledge caused me to waste an hour and a half of my time just to find out the teller manager did not know what he was talking about.  Incompetent!

I've been with UTF for over 30 years and feel like the service has declined steeply over the past few years.  UTF needs to  get their act together ASAP, otherwise I will be shopping for another financial institution.  Very sad actually.  UTF used to rock.

Mind numbing....so many problems with their debit card.....if go some where and buy something and it's not the usual zipcode...if you don't answer the phone your card is deactivated....happened new years eve...beyond aggravating..it's like a bank...but not quite...be real careful if you travel

BILL PAY software is worse than the old version.  It is cumbersome and unexpectedly scrolls to the wrong page.  They force you to make at least 10 purchases with your debit MasterCard each month or you pay a $10. fee on your checking account.  Now they have annoying Turbo Tax pop-up ads to get past to get to your account.

We are looking for another place to do business.

i have had an account with this credit union for almost 40 years. all of the recent changes have made this place go downhill fast. i am considering leaving and finding somewhere else to bank.
