
Unitek College's Hayward Branch Campus offers Vocational Nursing training and Medical Assisting training.
The mission of Unitek Training is to educate adults to become competent, efficient, and safe entry level health-care providers. The Nursing Assistant Training Program (NATP) was developed to meet the growing demand for health-care providers in the long term care facility, skilled nursing facility, and/or variety of health-care settings. The faculty and administration are committed to assist the students in gaining knowledge and developing the essential skills and competencies that prepare them for entry-level employment in the health-care system.
Unitek College’s philosophy is to provide quality programs that are sound in concept, implemented by a competent and dedicated faculty and geared to serve those seeking a solid foundation in knowledge and skills required to obtain employment in their chosen fields. The programs emphasize hands-on training, are relevant to employer’s needs and focus on areas that offer strong long-term employment opportunities.
To offer students the training and skills that will lead to successful employment, Unitek College will continually evaluate and update educational programs, provide modern facilities and training equipment, select instructors and faculty with professional experience in the vocations they teach and the ability to motivate and develop students to their greatest potential, and promote self-discipline so that students may enjoy success on the job and in society.
