The Universal Home Renovations team made our remodel project such a pleasant experience. Our extensive project included the entire living level of our home, including the kitchen, in addition to a bathroom upstairs. We appreciated the fact that the dust and debris were kept to a minimum during demolition and there were never construction items left outside our home. Our project manager ( owner Richard ) was always available to respond to any questions or issues that arose. The subcontractors were courteous and did great work. As with any remodel, there were a few challenges, but our project manager met those challenges with a positive attitude and always found a solution. There were many times that Richard went far beyond the call of duty to make sure our vision became a reality and always did his best to stay within our budget! We "HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE GUYS"

Universal Home Renovations deserves more than 5 stars. They are masters in their trade. Their attention to detail shows in every project hat was done in our home. We are appreciative of the excellent support that Richard and his industry partners gave to our whole home remodel. In addition, their portfolio demonstrates an impressive depth of experience in all aspects of remodeling. Neat, reliable and budget friendly. Don't pass up a chance to work with these guys.

I had been doing research online and consulting with friends to see if anyone knew a honest and reliable company that did kitchen remodels. A friend of mine two months ago referred me to Universal Home Renovations. My friend suggested that I speak with Richard because he was knowledgeable and friendly. I spoke with him and we developed a plan. Richard did my remodel and I couldn't be happier with the finished product. He quoted me a price and that was my final price. Other than jumping through hoops with the Ma building inspectors office and playing town hall bing with them everything went great. Some places try increase their prices and tack on extra fees and the quality of their work is superb!!! The kitchen & bath this company did for our 2nd home is amazing ! I highly recommend Universal Home Renovations.

**STAY AWAY** I signed contract with Universal Home Renovations (owner Richard Froais) to do (1) complete bathroom remodel (gut to studs and install tub, toilet, tub surround, floor tiles, vanity, sink, faucet, exhaust fan, vanity lights etc.) for $3400 labor only and (2) Kitchen cabinet demo and new cabinet install for $875 labor only. He drew up contract such that I pay three equal installments - first when I sign contract, second when demo is complete and third when work is complete. The work started on time as planned on 05/16/2014 and Richard took first payment of $1425 (one to go with contract). He and his crew completed majority of the demo (not all) in a day and half by noon of 05/17/2014. He asked for second payment at that point and I wrote him second check for $1425. At this point, I had already given him 2/3 of the total project money. After that things went south. He stopped answering my calls, voice mails and texts. He didn't show up on days he promised to come. He then came other times for 5 mins and left without doing any work and then sent email making excuses that something blocked him from doing his work. He never called me to take care of things that were blocking him. Other times, I took care of things that he was complaining but he never showed up. This went on for 4 weeks when I fell behind in project timeline. It was enough for me and I cancelled the contract with him. He didn't pay back any money. Bottom line: He gulped 2/3 of the project money by doing 1.5 days worth of demo work. Stay away from this company and the owner. Do not be a victim of fraud like me.

Richard Froais is in court for harassing and threatening his customers after he walked off with their money and they complained about it. Avoid this jerk.
