Our Mission:
As a diverse and inclusive faith community, we welcome and support all who desire to worship, study, commune and share life with us.

Story

The long and rich histories of two downtown churches came together in 2010 to become this open, socially conscious congregation on the corner of E. 107th and Chester at the gateway to Cleveland's University Circle.

The people of the former Epworth-Euclid United Methodist Church at this location merged with those of First United Methodist at East 30th to become an exciting, energized source of faith-based worship, study, expression and outreach…all under the inspired leadership of Dr. Kenneth W. Chalker.

You may remember Dr. Chalker. His award-winning, first-of-a-kind advertising in the 1980s helped change a once-dying downtown church of 40 people into a congregation of over 300 vibrant worshippers. They not only created a childcare program for low-income families and a lunch program for downtown seniors, but a homeless program for women and children that ended up operating ALL of Cleveland’s homeless locations.

As we’ve passed these programs along to others, we’ve honored this rich heritage of social outreach by building up the long-standing Neighborhood Lunch Program at our University Circle location. This program, initiated during the Epworth-Euclid years, is joined by our many other outreach opportunities in downtown Cleveland, to offer our members and you multiple opportunities to make a difference.

And we invite you to be a part of it all by not only joining us in worship, where all are honestly welcome all the time, but by helping us help others through our expanding outreach programs.
