The University of Charleston is a very academically rigorous, yet comprehensive educational institution. If you plan to go to college in West Virginia, I recommend this university.

I have no experience here but my older sister loves it.

I went here for high school and college, so I've got a pretty firm grip on the ups and downs. It's a nicely designed school (you don't have to go outside if you don't want to), but there's no parking. The new parking building is pretty hideous, but at least it should fix some of that. There are some lovely indoor and outdoor spaces for weddings. The rotunda, art gallery, and back lawn being the most popular. The library is...well, drool. I love the library. I lived in the library. The best collection I've found so far of West Virginia history books largely maintained by the fact that they lock the door behind you when you go in to read through them. As a school, it has some failings, largely in that there is only a set amount of staff and a set amount of courses offered. But also the tuition. Let's not forget the horror of 21k a semester.
