Ignore the five star ratings. This is not a good school by any measure. Education or otherwise. A very conservative, Christian, and hence racist institution. You may remember hearing about me being arrested for masturbating in public at this school? Don't believe a word of it. As a testament to how racist these dumb kids are, they harassed me and lied and said they saw me masturbating to porn in their library. Keep something in mind however. I was AWARE of the four witnesses and deliberately pulled up the porn site to test them. Two sat nervously next to me and then went into the back to tell the other two, who were NOT at all present to see anything. So none saw anything. I was watching them the whole time. How could they? They didn't! They lied to police and the POLICE came there, arrested me and FALSIFIED A CONFESSION. That's just a taste of how spiteful and uneducated the student and community at this school truly is. Do not attend this third rate, lousy school. Better yet don't attend ANY racist school in the south. NONE of them are of good quality. You certainly won't learn anything. Except how to hate humanity and how to end up in debt that you can't even file bankruptcy on. If you are looking to become educated or start a good career, leave the south. You'll just get down here, get into debt and be unable to find a job due to how slow Louisiana's economy is. Good luck. You'll need it if you live in this state....

Terrible school. Lousy, racist, hateful professors. Racist, uneducated, middle class white students. No one at this institution cares about learning. Rather, they just want to party and act stupid on mom and dad's money for four years. Screw this school and the conservative hicks that attend it. You'd do better getting a trade. It's just as enriching, which is to say not at all.

I attended ULM during the last millennium and can say this has never been what you might expect—a lightweight redneck college in the Mississippi Delta. Grading was tough, no easy A’s or B’s. I suspect it was easier to make good grades at bigger name schools. I say this not to dis’ ULM but to say it was demanding. You had to master the material. Six years after I graduated, I was accepted to LSU law school (a top 100 law school) on my first try at any law school. I took the LSAT once with no prep. I hope this helps. I love ULM.

If you're looking for a school which focuses more on athletics than science, this might be the place for you. Fifty years of work building a phenomenal collection of natural history is being tossed out so a handful of students have a place to practice running. Shameful.
