My family have been going here for 5 years. In a teaching environment, things proceed very slowly. You are assigned a student who is constantly being coached and evaluated frequently. The students are not seasoned professionals. The good thing; no short cuts allowed. Every procedure is done by the book being checked over and over. I have been to private dentists and the bottom line rules. Since the work is being performed by students you are charged accordingly; a lot less than I private practitioner. If you are not able to devote 3-4 hours of your day at every visit, then go to a private dentist and be prepared for sticker shock. If you are on a fixed income, no insurance, broke or just want to receive quality and affordable dental care then this is the place for you.

I would give them negative 5 Stars if I could! Horrible! They screwed up everythingggg they touched. They were cruel to my child. Now I'm supposed to make a four hour drive there again so the can re-cement a bracket they placed YESTERDAY?!? And they won't refer him to somebody closer to me to reglue those brackets. Probably because they don't want another dentist to see what they've done to my child. This is exactly how you get people to never ever go to a dentist again.

I've been trying to make an appointment to get my wisdom teeth pulled and they never answer the phone, and my dad has been a patient here since the day he was born because he was born with a blood clot in hours leg that won't go away and they fucked up his leg even more. February 12, 2014, I went in to get my bottom left molar and wisdom tooth pulled and they did it, but they didn't numb me all the way, they didn't mention sleep sedation (I would have paid the extra 200 for it), and they pierced my nerve. I could be punched in the jaw on my left side hard enough to break it and I would only feel it on the right side, so that's just great because now my jaw locks on the left side, I can only chew on my right, and it's hard to talk because I can't feel the left side of my jaw. Thanks so much (note the sarcasm)

It's the worst, depending on who you get as a dental student/ oral sergeon/ etc, In December I had a tooth extraction, used "laughing gas" for the first time and things went quite well. Recovery was longer than expected. Today I got another tooth extracted and it wad HORRID! while I paid for laughing gas, and the machine was on my face, it did NOT enter my body. The oral sergeon pushed so hard on my jaw (after explaining to her I have a serious condition and can not tolerate this)... I cried through the whole thing which is not like me at all. The attending real doctors kelt correcting the students but they quit listening as soon as she left the room. Lastly they totally forgot to give me pain meds when I left. Thankfully some random guy going down the hall cared enough to hand me some IBU samples. Karly (I think) was the student causing most of this disaster. I wish she would have asked for help. I am in so much pain. Also if the past is any indication, I won't be able to speak for a very long time.... meaning bad news for my work... which could mean I loose my house. All this because I tried to save a few bucks at U of M clinic. One of the worst choices ever!!

Everything started fine, got an appointment same day for my fiancé who has a broken tooth that needs to be extracted. When they took his blood pressure they said it was high and didn't understand why.. uhhh because he's in pain!!! Everyone's blood pressure is high if they're in pain. Another student came to verify his bp and told him he should've had a stroke or a heart attack from his bp being so high. Seriously?!?! I understand these are students but there's a way to say things like this in a more tactful manner. They didn't even give him antibiotics to help with the swelling or anything. We drove 45 minutes to come here and I highly doubt we'll be back.
