Located out of HighSmith Union free thrift store, Rosetta's Kitchen is here, full gourmet vegetarian and vegan menu. Public library. Free and paid events. Writing Center located in Ramsey Library. Free PC repair for students also located in the library. Many varieties of positive environments for students

Go here if you want to really learn something. The faculty is outstanding and they are able to really focus on and engage with each student. Its very easy to make friends and tends to attract passionate people. Only caution/criticism is the town of Asheville itself. Its housing crisis/public transit/infrastructure(sidewalks,crosswalks) are all a disaster and will really inconvenience students who aren't rich despite the lower tuition. Also the town is not hospitable to people of color despite the school being very much so.No communities of color, no hair salons/barber shops, haircare stores, restaurants, venues etc. Town basically shuts down at 7 pm except for bars. Virtually no middle class, just extremely rich Floridians or heartbreakingly poor natives. However, if you are able to comfortably live and focus on your studies despite these things, it is worth it because the school is great. If you know you will struggle with these things, it isnt worth trouble.

Loved it, underdog productions, writing center, free pc repair, free public library. Game room, Knowledgeable people staff students bright outlook for unca students

Unc Asheville is the best college that you could go to. It has amazing teachers, courses and you meet life long friends. I have the best memories from my years at UNCA!! Amber Reeder '08
