Financial Aid is awful. In order to get a response from them, you either have to see them in person or speak to the Dean. The website and blackboard works maybe 3 out of 5 times which is inconvenient, especially when assignments need to be turned in. The school and professors itself are great. Community is fantastic and the events that are hosted are always fun, Cafeteria is meh... could improve the salad bar or incorporate more healthy choices and UPDATE the posted hours! Please! The actual operating hours do not match what is posted on the website or on the doors to the cafe!

I turned in my transcripts to attend in the fall over 3 months ago. They just now processed it after I called 5 times and now I can't get into orientation because they took so long. They say they are here to help but I am more stressed than ever. Update: 11/07/17 They want me to attend a 3rd orientation and they took so long to contact me. This school is so stressful. They are a new school and don't know what they are doing. I'm going to TWU

KIDS GO TO COMMUNITY COLLEGE FIRST AND SAVE YOUR MONEY. That is my personal financial tip, but if you have a scholarship or have money to blow then by all means attend UNT Dallas fresh out of high school. If you are looking for the "hype" of college such as parties, the "college experience" you see in movies this is not for you. I personally love the peace and quiet so that is a win for me:) I LOVE THE ALL THE GREEN THAT SURROUNDS THE SCHOOL! The interior is very well designed and the classrooms are big. The sit down area by the cafeteria is nice. I love the windows but I've never eaten their food. I love the view from the roof. I wish the library was an actual library it's just an open area with tables. I like that they have plenty of online classes for convenience. The school definitely needs time to be established. I was disappointed that they decided to invest in dorms. Majority of the people that attend UNT Dallas are people who live nearby. Why pay a bunch of money to live in a small dorm at a mediocre university, just stay at home and save your money. I know who a girl who is excited to live in the dorm, different strokes for different folks, its about what you want and what you want to gain. Instead of dorms they should have invested that money into academics by hiring more professors, creating more certification programs, or to provide there staff some additional training. Every semester I've never been able to find all the classes that I need. I haven't had any problems with the professors besides one whom was very lazy and always graded everything late. The gym is so SMALL I can get a workout in but this is a "University" I expect to see a Nice Big decent size gym without having to see people from the office taking there coffee break (they are connected right next to each other) and I'm sure they don't want to constantly hear noise from the gym equipment. It doesn't matter to me but thought I would point that out for anybody who cares. I've had documents sent to the registrars office and they NEVER get it. Each time I've had to pay money out of my pocket all because they are lacking simple "procedure" protocols. I am very grateful to be going to UNT Dallas because it is one of the closest university's from where I live (MAJOR PLUS). UNTD can be truly amazing it has a lot of potential they just need the right type of people in management to lead the way. And somebody who TRULY cares enough to make change and make the school great! I really do hope they listen to students on how the school can make improvements before it grows any bigger.

UNT Dallas is a hotspot of optimism, representing a major effort by the State of Texas, the City of Dallas and the larger community to grow the local economy and bring quality education to (primarily) local residents. Every university is a work-in-progress. UNTD is no exception. Being new, small and quickly-expanding, UNTD is not as predictable as older institutions. For example, students may need to be patient/persistent to resolve administrative details. The place is not the same today as it was 3 years ago, and it will be a lot different 3 years from now. It is really quite amazing to watch UNTD find its place in the world, building traditions and reputation along the way. President Bob Mong is an energetic leader with vision and passion. Prospective students, parents and other stakeholders should pay attention to what he is doing and saying in his role as president. He has a good sense for how UNTD can serve students, and serve its community.

It's just a nightmare dealing with the Financial Aid office and the Academic Advising office. No body answer phone calls or reply emails. Class starts in a week but my Financial Aid still not processed. When compared to TCCD, UNTD administration is a joke.
