Story

The Upward Star Center is a premier multi-sport venue in the Southeast. Located in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the 60-acre, 120,000-square-foot complex features world-class playing facilities, state-of-the-art workout equipment, and sport-specific training programs.

This facility will feature:

• 6 full-sized basketball courts
• 12 indoor volleyball courts
• 4 sand volleyball courts
• 6 locker rooms
• Café
• 6 meeting rooms
• 6 soccer fields
• 4 indoor batting cages
• Space will also be available indoors for cheer and dance competitions, camps, clinics, business meetings and birthday parties.
• Private, sport-specific lessons
• Rock Climbing wall

The Upward Star Center is a proud host of the Upward Stars Upstate Club. They offer highly competitive programs for young athletes seeking elite and advanced opportunities in their chosen sports. They will compete on local, regional, and national level based on their skill. Currently, the Upstate features Upward Stars programming in basketball and volleyball, as well as a professional men’s soccer team that competes in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL). The Upward Star Center shares it's campus with Upward Sports, the only youth sports program with the 360 Progression, an experience that develops the total athlete mentally, athletically, spiritually, & socially.

Our mission is "Promoting the discovery of Jesus through sports."

We want that to be the driving force behind all of the programming that we offer. Whether it's a kids' volleyball camp, an Upward Stars basketball travel team, or an adult soccer league, we strive to be intentional about using sports as a platform for sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and for fellowshipping in accordance with His Word.
