Sometimes the qr codes they scan on my cell phone won't read correctly with their system & they are supposed to. Id say 1 in every 10 packages doesn't scan says a read error & i have to take the package back home & then pay to have the label printer out & then take it back to the post office or schedule a pickup the next day. It's annoying having a package to not go out until the next day. When ppl pay for 2 certain shipping and dates I try to get it done as i should. For the most park the ppl that work there are....."Meh". They all have a way about them that let's ppl know they really don't like their jobs, personally i think id like it but i also don't know what it's like to work there either. no matter if i did or didn't id not go about my day to day life speaking like the guy that used to do the clear eyes commercial back in the day... Smh.
I don't believe at any establishment under any circumstances is it appropriate to curse while on the job especially in front of guest. The situation had nothing to do with me, however a lady before me had been a little overly complicated when selecting how she wanted to mail her package and was going in circles with the woman working behind the desk. Another gentleman behind the desk took care of my request which was needing stamps for my Christmas cards. As I placed the stamps on myself, the lady being helped leaves and all I hear is the gentleman behind the desk dropping several curse words, bad mouthing how ridiculous the lady was to the other female employee. I highly understand...trust me...but it's not professional and made me super uncomfortable. Instead of handing my mail back to him, I avoided him and just took it to the drop box. Not that it matter, they all eventually walked to the back and left given I was the last guest at the moment. This is why I try to avoid going to Monroe for any needs.. get it together.
Delivered my package to the wrong address and marked my delivery as “picked up” and completed. Does not answer their phones and their policy does not cover their items they deliver incorrectly. Absurd.
The workers here are super rude. I'm not sure if that's because I am a minority or because I arrived 15min before closing. Literally out of 4 there, only the man was polite the whole time to customers. First, two ladies gossipped about me when I fanned myself with a piece of paper while waiting in line, and I just walked in from 100 oF heat while they stood comfortably in AC. Then when it's my turn, another lady that was supposed to help me acted very rude and I couldn't stand it and decided to walk out. I hope they learn to be more professional & nice to people. It doesn't take much to be kind.
I only came in because I needed a stamp for a greeting card. I had my four month old baby with me, and nobody was in front of me or behind me. I stood there while this woman was doing some thing else, for probably four or so minutes. Then the two women that we’re working start chatting and laughing and telling some sort of story while I’m just standing there. Finally the one calls me up, and tells me that there’s some kind of machine that the envelope goes through, and since she can feel some sort of card inside the greeting card it was a gift card, it will cost more than just a regular stamp $1.08, to be exact. I said that’s never happened before, and I only brought a dollar in with me. She waived the 8 cents but I’ve mailed MANY gift cards inside greeting cards with a single stamp and it has never been returned to me. In between trying to give me an explanation for the inflated costs, she’s STILL telling some story to the other woman. Horrible service. I’d rather drive farther for better, quicker assistance.
packages from eBay from a foreign seller claim that they were out for delivery, but an attempt was never made. The tracking shows it is available for pickup, but no one will answer the phone to let me know if it is actually there or not. Pretty useless service
Janis in "customer service" is the worst. My package hasn't moved since March 31st. I opened a case, and Janis closed it after only 3 days! Made no effort to actually look for the package and had the audacity to say "it was an expected delivery date not guaranteed". Is this code for they steal packages? It's now April 22nd, and I still don't have my package. Sounds like Janis does.
One of the employees, Deborah, gave me the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I was trying to mail my wedding invitations and I had them all sealed and stamped when I came in, but I was told that I would need more stamps. When trying to calculate the exact number of stamps I would need, Deborah clapped her hands in my face because she thought that I wasn’t comprehending. I did comprehend, she just didn’t understand my question, nor did she exhibit patience with me as a customer that was just trying to ensure that I had paid the correct amount. Instead of showing kindness and care for her customers, she showed that she lacks the maturity to handle routine work situations and treated me like I was a child. This woman ruined my day and I’m sure she felt satisfied with the ridiculously rude way that she behaved. I’m a USPS supporter and have donated to initiatives to keep them operating through the pandemic when they were threatened to be defunded, but people like Deborah are not helping the current situation. I sincerely hope that she treats her next customers with more kindness and respect.
Im writing this review only in regards to the manager at this location. First off she’s very poorly mannered and unprofessional. I went in trying to get refund instead left with the worst customer service I have ever experienced. She cuts you off and argues with you before you get to explain anything. She told me that it was because of the content inside the package which I told her it wasn’t but she didn’t want to believe me and demands for proof. Once I showed her the proof that it was not because of the content she tries to call customs and have me wait 20 minutes which I found out they are not authorized to do so since customs is indeed a different organization. She also had me call border control which is also irrelevant with usps. The unprofessionalism of this manager is child’s play to say the least.
I'm always satisfied with the wait times & customer service. There was a mixup during my last visit where I was given a notice in my PO box that stated I had 3 packages...they were only able to locate 1. I'm not freaking out because I only ordered 1 the one that was received. Not sure what the issue was that caused the error, but hopefully they'll get it under control.
