In general they are very helpful. My only complaint is that I filled in a vacation hold for my mail and it wasn't honored causing my mail to pile up while I was gone for a whole month. If you have to do something really really important take it to the Fountain Hills Citrus Heights Post office. But this one is okay for everyday use. Hope this helps.
It’s the post office and not a luxurious Napa health spa, so don’t expect employees to cater to your every need. Sure a couple of the guys could be more friendly, but most of the year the lines are short and I can get in and out quickly.
Unprofessional! Very rude! While I was there, the officer, John, talked in a way that gives you too much stress just for a regular job routine. Employees with lousy attitudes should consider no work on the front desk!

John is the least helpful postal service employee I've ever had contact with, and from what I overheard from other customer interactions, who they've ever had contact with, too.

I am 67 years old man residing in Fair Oaks, CA from1999 and I have never ever had that kind of rude attitude and disrespectful case of behavior with one of your mail delivery person which happened to be on 6.09.2022. I spoke to supervisor on 6.14.2022. Expecting action.
I was very disappointed in my customer experience at the Fair Oaks Post Office. I had put a vacation hold on my mail. I had requested that the USPS deliver it. That didn’t happen. Four days later, I stopped by the post office. I got the run around for 15 minutes in being told to wait in line, then being pulled aside, then being told to wait by the door to speak to a supervisor. I did receive an apology, but was told to contact the Postmaster General when I asked who to contact about the issue. When I got home with the mail, there were two items addressed to another homeowner not in our neighborhood. It makes me wonder who got some of my mail. There have been other times that someone in my neighborhood has brought me mail delivered to them in error. Training needs to be improved.

The staff here has often gone out of their way. John and others have retrieved my parcels even when it is closing time; many people in line get rude, but the staff there are always polite. Updated 08 March 20: I'd also really like to recognize Frank: I work 8 to 4:30, so I'm always getting to the post office right at 5:00, yet he has never shut the door on me and assists me. Frank is a lesson in patience that I'd like to carry with me to my own job.
