I’m giving 5 stars because of their employee Joe who helped us understand the process of self addressed stamped envelope. It’s not something that we do all the time so we are so confused how to do it. He was patient enough to explain to us what is it for and how to do it. He knows what he was doing.  Thank you so much for big help. The other lady too was very nice. I can hear her conversation with other customers and she is very courteous and offers help.

If I could give no stars I would. Staff- ALWAYS rude, never once helpful and they say whatever they can to get you out of the door. This is the most sorry excuse of a post office i’ve ever seen. Everybody working inside of the building should be fired. I haven’t received my mail in over 2 months now , and with over 8 visits my situation is still not resolved. Still cannot receive my new credit card i’ve been trying to get for over a month now , or any other mail. They literally have no idea what they’re doing. Everybody waiting in the line  which is always to the end of the building is always complaining about how horrible this establishment is. Not even speaking to a supervisor gets you any help. I feel so bad for everyone who has to put up with this post office.

Whomever is responsible for having one person behind the counter one week before Christmas, needs to be FIRED!!! Tax payers keep bailing out this failed service, the least they can do is cover a holiday. Do your job or we will simply eliminate the service.

Terrible service, due to recepticles being full they failed to deliver without a notice left in the box. Instead of redelivery the next available date I had to take it into my own hands to have to rescheduled for delivery.

OK, the place is ALWAYS filthy the customers clean it!. The employees are RUDE and DISMISSIVE and deserve all the heaps of criticism that you see in these reviews. And there are always lines. And the employees are rude. I mean, I used to be a proponent of the US mail service... now, after visiting this post office on NY in DeLand, Florida.... I think we should privatize the post and fire everyone employed there.

THIS IS THE WORST POSTAL SERVICE!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND USING!! THEY WILL DROP YOUR PACKAGE OFF TO OTHER PEOPLE & THEN CLOSE YOUR CASE WITHOUT NOTIFYING YOU!! REALLY RIDICULOUS! PUT IN TWO CASES, WAS CONTACTED BY THE DISTRICT & THAT WAS POINTLESS!!! PACKAGE WAS NEVER FOUND! DO BETTER!!!

Does anyone answer a phone here? Mail lady dropped off 5 packages to my house and they go to a totally different address not even the same street can’t get anyone on the 1-800 number to physically talk to and Deland PO doesn’t answer either. I’m trying harder than them to fix their mess up. Wow

The people that work the desks are very nice, however my rating is due to a few things. When we moved into the area we were told we had to get our community box rekeyed, no problem. Went to the post office and completed the paperwork necessary to begin the process. I was told it would be 2-3 business days before the job was complete and we would be notified by the post office to go pick up our keys once complete. A week went by and I never heard. I went to the post office and was told oh it could take two weeks because they just replaced the contracted who goes out and does it. Another week goes by and still nothing. When I went back and requested a resolution I was told they would put the request in again and call the person directly, that I should hear back in 24 hours. Nothing. Went back and they called the carrier requesting that our mail be dropped off to our house since we haven’t had access to our mail in 3 weeks. Nothing. Went back and complained and put my foot down and had our mail delivered that day. The person who delivered it claimed they hadn’t heard anything about rekeying our box that they would take care of it in 24-48 hours. Almost a week passes and nothing. Went back to the post office and we were given a number to call another local post office to resolve the matter since the supervisor wasn’t there. Nobody answered the phone. Over a month later we finally got our keys, albeit without telling us where our box was or what box number we were given. We had bills in our box and documents for our home purchase sitting for over a month. We had past due payments and other issues because of the post offices lack of organization, communication, and professionalism. Something has to change.

Terrible place. The clerks are universally patronizing, sneering,, and derisive, especially Joe, who should be fired. There is always a line, the package drop is always broken, mail is regularly lost, it's SO DIRTY that people clean it as they are waiting in line. I recommend UPS or FedEx.

Awful customer service. Awful attitudes. Unable to reach the post office by phone 95% of time, it just keeps ringing. And when you finally get in touch with someone they usually say there’s nothing they can do to help, regardless of the question.
