Worked here for 2 years. The Post Master Chris Choate is a sexual predator. Harasses and makes inappropriate sexual comments to female employees. He’s good at the “grooming” process, starting off friendly “I’m the cool boss” act and then slowly ramping it up into more of a sexual nature. After reporting him and an investigation he is still employed. As a result of my reporting him, I was ostracized by my fellow co-workers and Chris cut my hours making it difficult for me to afford my bills. I eventually transferred to a different PO because I did’t feel comfortable. Just know the man running this place is a pervert who doesn’t respect women. The entire culture of this office is misogynistic. After transferring to a different office, my experience has been positive and wonderful and I have the utmost respect from my new Post Master, Supervisor and co-workers. Shame on the USPS for keeping this man employed in a position of power and creating and unsafe work environment for female employees. I really wish other female employees who also experienced Chris’ inappropriate behavior and the men who witnessed it in action would get over their fear and come forward and take this man out of power and out of the Post Office. Nobody should have to work under those circumstances and NO ONE should have to live in silence for the fear of retaliation from Management.
