This review is for Larry somewhere back in the mail sorting room or something. Usually my dealings with the post office warrant no stars at all but yesterday April 17 around 330 pm I called the post office and Larry answered the phone and made a terrible mistake an opportunity to show how awesome the post office really is. A typo on a mailing label almost ruined my week then this guy at the post office single handily tracked down my package and had it delivered post haste. Thank you so much Larry and thanks to the United States post office for giving him a raise hopefully.

Lines are always bad and staff can be impatient (though I can understand why...shouldn't make it so appearent). The one girl with streight dark hair is really friendly though. The rest are all about the same. As an eBay seller and frequent visitor all I can say is having your packages marked prevents a lot of frustration. If you don't have your package 100% ready DON'T get in line. Also, if you just need stamps and they're not special ones- skip the line! They are readily available online or at the machine right by the door. If you get in line to get stamps people will get annoyed. If you use ANYTHING from the office you will be charged for it (I've seen so many people get mad over using priority envelopes...). It's fine to ask questions but not when there's massive lines and you are causing them due to a lack of common sense. I realize this is a ranty list over the review but I feel that half the problem (or more) isn't the staff the people complain about-Its the people causing their own problems for everyone! That said, this location has lost my packages before (always get shipping with tracking...always) and keep your receipt so you're covered. The staff seems to be goofing off sometimes and when there's a line that's never okay. The parking lot is also terrible...they fill the holes occasionally but they just need a new lot. Seriously guys it's a vehicle hazard at this point. My final note, USE THE MACHINES. It cuts the line down and saves you and others time. If you have a complicated package fine. But if it's a basic envelope or package and you know how to read the rulers there (it can tell you terminology and such) it's not hard to learn. You can get straps and everything there too. Its open 24/7 and is much faster than the line once you figure it out. 2/5 but Oakdale isn't much better so if you don't use online postage or a drop box this is about your only option.

Larry decided to play police man and hold my package with a prepaid label. I recieved a sorry we missed you tag days later stating that I had stolen tape and he's holding my package. I paid, have the receipt, video evidence, stood in line behind 10 people to pay for tape. I asked them to tape on my label, Larry rubbernecked from dealing with his customer to yell at me about, no free tape! Usps never called, commented, did nothing!!! I called the police as well. I guess these days it's ok to treat people like dirt and get away with it. Dont use this office, most of these people here hate there jobs/lives and it shows.

Fully functioning automated postage machine available 24 hours a day. Counter service was prompt and friendly, even as my two year old ran around the place like a maniac.

One of the mailman from USPS entered my house today while no one was home and put my package inside. This is not okay with me. If you think that the package will be taken by someone, then you take it back with you and redeliver another day. Not walk into a home, uninvited, and leave the package inside. I'm getting the police involved to see if there is anything I can do about this.
