Well, it turns out this post office doesn't really work. They neither are opened 10-12, nor 1-3. I sent a letter to Kearney three weeks ago and I'm pretty sure it lies somewhere in a large pile of letters no one touched for months. One can't find it out tho - it's closed even when their website says "Open".

I had to get a stamp to send a letter abroad to my boyfriend. I went in on September second and saw a sign that said "Due to Labor Day, we are closed on September second through September sixth." I thought "Hey, it's not even Labor Day weekend yet, but whatever. I'll come back." The website stated that their hours were 10-12 on the sixth. I went in around 10:45 and the hours listed were 1-3. Maybe there was a website mistake, whatever. I returned at 2 and the window wasn't open, and no postal workers were to be found. I called the post office twice and nobody answers. I'm saving my mail for when I go on trips to Lincoln or Omaha. This place is completely worthless. Do people even work here? Additionally, someone wrote me a letter and sent it from their post office on August 11th. As of September 6th, I have yet to receive it, although it stated that it had arrived in Kearney. I am positive it is sitting on a pile of mail that will never be touched by a postal worker, seeing as these postal workers don't seem to exist. Just buy a plane ticket to wherever you want to send your mail, deliver it personally, and fly back. You'll be back before they even consider opening.
