very disappointed in the way I was treated, the workers here are very rude and not well mannered. I came in for a very quick certified envelope, man that helped me was very rude and combative. after expressing that he was not acting in a professional manner he asked his colleague to continue my transaction. he went to the back of the office to retrieve her and while doing so decided to call the cops and state to the cops I would not leave the premises. when his colleague came out she was just as rude and combative and not well mannered as he was. I asked for names and no one would give out any information because they know they were in the wrong. the only name that I could get was Davis (this was the colleague who came from the back). when I walked outside a cop was standing at the door, I approached him and the cop agreed that the post office was in the wrong. this location either needs new workers, or workers that have the want and needs of working with people every day. please use another location until this matter is resolved.

I have to agree with this location's poor reviews. I've never had as many poor experiences at a local post office as consistently as at the Georgetown one. What is it with the employees there? Do they think that no one else works hard, has problems, or faces difficulties??? The customer service is frigid at best: forget a smile or the slightest sign of sincerity or warmth. There's nothing quite like a public servant making you feel how exasperating it is for them to work with the public and how they're doing you such a favor in the process. The workers at this USPS location really, really need some retraining.

I visited this Georgetown post office location today and was sadly disappointed by the service I received. Harassed, embrrassed, yelled at, humiliated are a few words to describe my experience. I made an error on a first shipping envelope as a result I got another. As I arrived to the counter, after waiting 20 mins the clerk said he has to charge me for both envelopes. I asked why,and explained that I did not feel I should have to, consumers make errors all the time as they were in that very moment. He continued on to ring me up for 2 envelops, I then asked to speak with a manager. The clerk asked me to step back, I step to the side instead. He decided that was not where he wanted me to stand. He then explained to the entire post office that I was holding up the line. Yelling that he was going to have me moved, as the consumers in line huffed & puffed the clerk continued on saying that I may steal someone’s credit card info. (How rude) Manger comes in and did not even speak with me, she rang me up just as the previous clerk. As I tried to explain my point of view she ask do I want to be dishonest like the other consumers. She then gave tons of negative body language and more rude insults in which my appalled brain can’t remember. This all caused me to then take my belongings out of the package, and go.( I did pay for the two envelops ) Epic fail.... paid for 2 envelopes and never mailed anything. I don’t want this to be a race situation, but let’s be honest in Georgetown only a black consumer would be treated as such, and sadly by 2 black postal workers. #nevergoingback

This location is awful. Be ready to wait in line for 15 minutes at a minimum. As I type, there are two USPS employees in the building but nobody working the counter. Unbelievable!

So rude. Tried lining up and one of the workers asked me if I knew how to read because I got into the line from the wrong side (there was no one else in line). They couldn't even open up the second counter even though one staff was standing there doing nothing. They're slow, inefficient, disrespectful, and rude, and are destined to work that same job for government wage till they retire. Wouldn't even go there if it weren't the closest post office to my school.
