The people there are so rude. It's bad enough to have to wait there forever and to make sure u have everything you need, like they're a public announcement that says what u specifically need in order to abstain your social security card. Very rude employees with no real reason to be that rude.  And when a grown man needs his social security card they just have to have their birth certificate, so you can I get my son 's ss with one?  These people suck. A birth certificate is a medical record.

My experience began okay, but then this semi-rude security guard came through the lobby basically shouting rules and instructions to the visitors as if we were children. It was a bit nerve wrecking and irritating, because for a minute there I thought I was back in high school. It wasn't so much what this gentleman said that I didn't like, rather How he said it that could have been a bit more professional and courteous. However, when I finally made it back to speak with a  representative she was awesome! She really made me feel better. She was very knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. If I would have had to rate my experience simply on my lobby visit it would have been a 1 or 2, but the representative made the difference in me rating my experience at an 4. One more thing.....I would have rated an 5 but the wait to get to speak to a rep was way too long.

Got a new worker and don't have extension. Every time I call it hangs up on me. No benefits this month and my child doesn't have insurance. No notice about it what so ever.

Phone: The representatives in the office knows you're holding waiting to speak to someone. Instead of them answering the call when the phone rings they place you back on hold. I'm currently waiting now for 20mins. The phone would ring once or twice and a couple of times rang ENTIRELY... all they do is keep placing you on hold. If these people don't like their job they ought to quit. This is a huge disappointment for me because it's my first time calling the Social Security Office. I urge that corporate get involved. Please remove these lazy people who refuse to even acknowledge the caller on the phone. I called them at 11:30am it's now 11:52am e office closes at 12pm. I just heard a recording saying no representative can help me and the call was dropped. It is a very time consuming process for me to be waiting this long when I know there are people that can acknowledge me on the line. A simple "thank you for calling please hold, I'll be with you shortly" would suffice. I'm extremely disappointed their system.

Really slow service , very stero typical towards "Certan People" still waiting almost 1 month to receive my survival benefits after they screwed up all my shipping info with the wrong address , currently been 1 week for a direct deposit and still nothing - I'm hoping they typed the right routing # , they've caused me a lot of stress for nothing
