Great place for a simple hike or nice bike rides on dirt trails. A great place to start teaching your kids how to mountain bike. Lots of good programs with park guides as well as fun little playgrounds for the young ones. A family favorite for my whole family. A place of great traditions for us.

I really enjoy the hike going all the way around the mountain. It is amazingly beautiful during the spring flower season. I do warn you though it is about 7.5 miles and isn't a hike to start the year off. I would do it only if your in shape. Nice area to pick-nick and hang out as well.

The spaces are spacious and private, the area is pristine yet completely in sync with nature! We were only there 2 nights on our way through the state, absolutely loved the campground and hope to return for a longer visit some day.

Very cute activities. Wonderful place for family fun. Gift shop was also relatively reasonably priced.

We stayed within the campground for 2 weeks and went hiking on many of the trails. The Wind Cave trail was our favorite. We were not pleased with one of the camp hosts hired for this season, as they allowed their kids to utilize an ATV to zoom through the park and around blind corners at speeds much higher than posted limits. DirecTV (free standing satellite) had no issue getting a signal. Verizon phones were able to maintain a 4g signal. Campground and roads are big rig friendly. Campsite fire-pit was still full of old burned out firewood. Campsite was level. Campground included playground for kids. Bathrooms were clean. Campsite included a concrete picnic table. Park is close to freeway access and close to major cities within the eastern Phoenix area.

Our family is currently traveling this beautiful country via RV style, and have been RV'ing for many years. Therefore, we have an idea between high-standard qualities and poor quality.
