DWR is now operating outside their intended jurisdiction to fill speeding ticket quotas on state highways, often without adequate evidence to support these citations.
Didn't know animals are only allowed to be helped on a weekday. Guess animals are on a 9-5 schedule like the rest of us. Seriously yall are pathetic and really need to you know? Preserve wildlife!
Here is another of the endless reasons public confidence in law enforcement continues to be eroded. I was falsely cited by Ranger Angela Lankford for... 77-23-105. Failure to stop -- Criminal liability. "Any person who intentionally and knowingly passes, without stopping as required, any administrative traffic checkpoint operated under the authority of a magistrate as provided in Section 77-23-104 is guilty of a class B misdemeanor." Recently I turned around before what was an administrative checkpoint as I was told only after I was illegally stopped. The law explicitly states "intentionally and knowingly passes" a checkpoint. I explained to the officer that I have the right to turn around as granted by the 14th amendment to travel freely and she still cited me for a code that simply does not apply. This is just another example of law enforcement not understand the laws they are enforcing or simply failing to comprehend them. As a side note, all my motor vehicles are properly registered. A formal complaint against the Ranger is forthcoming.
Well my experience is getting less preferable every time. First thing is the fishing report. Where do we get the current fishing report. There is a lot of time and money wasted with the regional forcast. What the hell is that all about anyway. Its totally useless. Question is why did you stop the fishing reports then charge more money for licenses. I dont get it. Sorry but when someone is planning on going fishing the report tell you somewhat how the fishing is. Not a forcast thats like the weather forcast for the next three months its laughable. So simply put how is the fishing where im thinking of going?? Pretty simple isnt it. Please explain why no reports anymore.
I was very happy with my experience today! Thank you so much for all you guys do for the state of Utah! Truly this department has the most impossible task of pleasing both the environmental nuts and hunters alike. They really went out of their way to help my son and I have a better experience beginning trapping. I wish I could better explain how much this department really helped us, but I’ll just say I’m encouraged to put more effort into assisting the department in any way I can because of their willingness to help us today. I REALLY appreciate the help! Thank you again.
Yesterday I was driving through the Currant Creek area and had a flat tire on my trailer towing my Ranger. My jack was broken and I was desperate. The above-mentioned Wildlife Resources employees arrived and changed the tire for me. They were very friendly, professional and smiled with their eyes. It was obvious they are passionate about their careers and their service to the public. They would not accept any money. They created an exception image for your organization and I appreciate them very much! Please do something nice for them!
Less than helpful in helping fix a draw application issue, but willing to charge me an extra $20 to reapply to fix it. The attitude of the counter worker was less than enjoyable and could care less. Wonder why hunter numbers continuing to reduce.
It thrills me to hear when heroic people do wonderful things! I'm so grateful DWR employees thought the baby geese and mom's lives mattered enough to rescue from the charter school rooftop and relocate them. Thank you SO MUCH for being you! You can bet I'm a big supporter now
DWR employees start out as biologists and are quickly transformed into financial consultants and revenue generartors. How quickly they forget the science of biology they are educated in and magically focus on the interest of politicians, county commissioners, ranchers and some big game hunters and their distorted views about predators and the ecosystem in total. The department should rename itself for what it truly is, the Division of Wildlife Revenue Generation. After all, what other conclusions can an average person come to given their actions on coyote bounties, always increasing cougar and bear permit numbers EVERY year, and the pathetic ways these animals are allowed to be hunted? These people really are only fooling themselves because even though you have biology degrees, they are not practicing their profession as their titles indicate. Little if any morals exist in a department run like this. But who cares! Afterall, you have great benefits! Employees ultimately turn into puppets of the politically powerful and well-connected. Does your conscious bother you? It should. Your paychecks are generated by the needless killing of beautiful animals! Killing deer for the meat is one thing, but killing bears and cougars for sport and money is undoubtedly pathetic, unnecessary and places such people as a part of a degenerative society. But hey..., you have great benefits, right?
This was unbelievable. The person I spoke with was the least helpful person I have ever encountered. The first thing he said was “I don’t get paid overtime so if you have everything ready to go I can help you”
