If you're even bitten by a tick that has been confirmed to have Lyme disease by a facility that tests ticks for Lyme, don't go here. They will do absolutely nothing. Sorry, I didn't mean nothing. They'll ignore you, they'll be really short, have an attitude and want to get off the phone as quick as possible, cut you off while you're talking to them and leave you frustrated and pissed off. On top of that, it's impossible to talk to an actual doctor. You have to call and talk to a receptionist, who will then talk to a nurse, who is supposed to talk to the doctor, who will tell the nurse what to say and then the nurse is supposed to call you back. I called at 10:00 am and didn't hear back from the nurse until I called 2 more times and then it was at 5:30 pm that I finally heard from them. This place has the worst customer service I've ever seen! If there was a way to take away stars in the rating, I would take all of them. They deserve less than nothing. I'll be searching for a new doctor and I strongly recommend that you find somewhere else to go. Unless you like to be miserable. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra miles to anywhere else. Even the sketchy shack in the middle of the cemetery with the guy that the local kids call "The Ax Murderer" would be a better option. He'd probably listen. Ugh, in order to post this I have to give a star. Just note that this star counts as the most negative star that a star can be!

Overall, excellent service. Very good, caring practitioners overall.... one or two that are below par. Ask around for names!

Fletcher Allen generously gave my husband who was unemployed at the time a form of free temporary health insurance that entitled him to be examined by a doctor at the Milton Family Health Clinic. There he was given a general check up by a young doctor who worked within this program. My husband, about to turn 50 at the time, asked to have a PSA, prostate cancer detection test, which was covered under the program. My husband explained that his father had recently died of an aggressive form of prostate cancer that had been detected through a PSA test by his father’s company doctor, but his father had been discouraged from taking immediate action even though the PSA numbers were high because the company doctor told him these numbers fluctuate. When his father received medical advice from a doctor at the Mayo Clinic six month later the cancer which had been detected by the PSA test had already taken strong hold. Despite the best in health care and aggressive treatment my father in law died a few years latter a lingering and painful death. Doctors confided in my mother in law that the six month delay had made a significant difference in my father in laws chances of survival. Aware of this my husband explained these facts to the doctor in the Fletcher Allen program. The young doctor proceeded to tell my husband that PSA tests were inaccurate and not a useful tool in detecting prostate cancer, and that in any case once prostate cancer had been detected treatment was not all that effective. My husband then asked for a PSA test anyway saying that it was a standard test and again he was discouraged. A few months later my husband acquired private health insurance where on informing his new doctor of his family’s history the private doctor immediately ordered a PSA test, affirmed their value as standard medical practice and set up a testing cycle of every six months. Because a test had not been ordered by the Fletcher Allen doctor a baseline test was given that thankfully turned out to be in the normal range. My concern is this, if Fletcher Allen is offering low cost or no cost health insurance does this mean that patients who are there trusting Fletcher Allen paid doctors will be discouraged from standard appropriate tests. My husband left his general check up with the Fletcher Allen doctor with a general impression that the doctor was in a hurry, not happy to be doing this kind of work and trying to keep costs low. What if my husband’s PSA had turned out to be high and like his father he had lost valuable time due to a “a you’re not paying mentality” Sons of men with prostate cancer have a 50% higher risk of getting the disease. .
