I was in the room two hours before retiring. I wasn't in the bed 10 mins when a bug came out. I immediately swiped it up. Bed bug. Just to be sure I flipped the sheets and found an infestation.  Full grown adults crawling on the covers. I took the bug to the front desk immediately. I requested a new room and he would not reassign me. He accused me and my pet of bringing the bugs in to the hotel. I told him to come look at the infestation.  One person cannot bring that many bugs in at once and they are not bugs carried by pets. After an argument he angrily refunded my money. #knowyourbugs **updated- I left my purse in the closet in my hurry to leave. It was stolen. Police notified and charges pending.

It was nice. Good prices, cozy. Nice staff. Good television stations. Swimming pool and hot tub. Would recomend

Yikes... I went here given the overall rating of 3.4. After pulling in, it was clear this was not a place I would be staying. The door to one of the rooms was open and inside were stacked tired and I think a few car batteries. These are hazardous materials that should NOT BE STORED IN A MOTEL ROOM (never mind, umm, WHY ARE THEY IN THERE??). Other rooms were open and mattresses had been moved outside of the rooms - with stains that I would rather not speculate as to their origin. One of the hotel workers (he appeared to be the manager) was standing there staring at me as I tried to decide if I needed to say something to him or just leave. I just left. I'm trying to reconcile the 3.4 rating with my experience. Was this just a bad day? There are plenty of other places to stay in this town in a similar price range. This was not for me. Nope.

On a weekly bases I travel to Ridgecrest for business in the area, and the Best Western on China Lake Boulevard is the place I prefer to stay. 

  The entire staff are great. Tina is professional and friendly while checking me in, and Jim for me, is the face of this Best Western. Jim is friendly, approachable, and ready to assist at all times at 5am. He always has everything prepaired to expedite my leaving, which is greatly appreciated.

Then there is Katie, always with a smile and always willing to make coffee early before the start of the Complementary Breakfast, to be sure I leave with a hot cup of coffee. When I'm more asleep than awake her thoughtfulness is a blessing.

The Fitness Center is another reason for my staying here. This is not a "Planet Fitness" or "L.A.Fitness" with long rows of treadmills and stationary bikes. This Fitness Center is perfect for the traveler that wants to continue an exercise program away from home. There is a recumbent bike, one treadmill, and a multi- station gym. The room is air-conditioned has a TV, a wall of mirrors (makes me keep running) and just outside is the swimming pool.

There is parking on the side street with enough room for at least three semis for the truck drivers visiting, and car parking on the property is more than enough.

This Best Western has been remodeled, and all the rooms I've stayed in have been clean and comfortable.  

I always recommend this place to the others at work for a comfortable night when they are in the area.
